Paradise Shores RV Park
Overview
Paradise Shores RV Park offers a unique blend of high-altitude adventure and relaxed lakefront living. Situated on the edge of the Bridgeport Reservoir, this park is less of a typical highway stop and more of a scenic basecamp for exploring the Eastern Sierra. The atmosphere is intentionally low-key, focusing on quality guest experiences and the natural beauty of the surrounding California mountains. It is a family-owned destination that prioritizes comfort, cleanliness, and a welcoming community spirit for every traveler.
Location & Surroundings
The park is located just outside the charming town of Bridgeport, providing a front-row seat to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the water and the rugged Sawtooth Ridge. Being at an elevation of roughly 6,400 feet, the air is crisp and the night skies are exceptionally clear. Its position along the US-395 corridor makes it a perfect hub for travelers exploring the dramatic landscape between Lake Tahoe and Mammoth Lakes.

Travelers will find well-maintained full hookup sites designed to accommodate various RV sizes. The park focuses on providing a high-quality experience with features such as:
- Direct access to kayak and paddleboard rentals for exploring the reservoir.
- A cozy guest lounge and communal campfire pits for evening gatherings.
- Clean laundry facilities and modern, renovated restrooms.
The park also provides reliable Wi-Fi, which is a significant advantage for those staying in this remote mountain region.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
This location is a gateway to some of California’s most iconic landmarks. Visitors are just a short drive from Bodie State Historic Park, one of the best-preserved ghost towns in the country. Outdoor enthusiasts can soak in the nearby Travertine Hot Springs or take a scenic drive to the eastern entrance of Yosemite National Park. The Bridgeport Reservoir itself is renowned for trout fishing, while the nearby Twin Lakes offer world-class hiking trails and alpine scenery.
Who This Park Is Best For

The cleanest bathroom and shower of any campground I’ve been to. The owners put a lot of effort and care into the campground, and they were very kind. Also had a dog shower place which would come in handy if you got a furry friend.

We made a reservation for Paradise Shores RV park for us an another family. They management arranged for us to have sites next to one another. The facility, restrooms and grounds are clean. The surface is gravel and the staff very friendly. We were there in early October the weather was cool and the sky was amazing.

I cont comment on the rooms as I was at a tent site. Beautiful location just outside of town. Clean and affordable. One of the highlights, and this is going to sound strange, was the bathroom! Super clean, nice hot showers, and they even had Q-Tips and razor available if you needed them. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys for a great experience!!
