Paradise south is a quaint smaller resort located in Mercedes Texas. Friendly staff, friendly residents. Mostly visitors from the northern climates-Canada š North and South Dakota Kansas Iowa. Missouri Northern Texas. Daily activities in the meeting hall. Bingo bean bag. Weekly dinner dances during the winter Texan season. I was a short term visitor visiting my sister in law for a few days. I was welcomed in to the bean bag tournament the dinner dances and invited to bingo and card games. The shower facility was not the most updated but was adequate for my needs. Clean and centrally located. Lots of people walking dogs early in the morning or riding the roads on bikes. Small dog park. Weekly garbage pick up. Unfortunately the weather was not very nice while I stayed. It was unseasonably chilly. Overall a reasonable and inexpensive resort with amenities and a pool, spa and small workout facility.

Love our park. Most everyone is super friendly! Our pool is great. Many park activities!

I moved to Paradise South in 2018. Itās a smaller park which I love because people are more like family then neighbors. The park is making great new improvements, bring our little piece of heaven do to neighbors and friends to a little piece of paradise. Great manager and staff.

Nice--we like it here. This is a smaller, mid range resort. The people are friendly and the staff members have been very accommodating. Nice pool area. Activities everyday. Close to shopping and very safe.

Do NOT recommend. My parents have been loyal guests for close to 15 years, and during COVID they offered ZERO cost relief when they couldn't visit for 2+ years. This year, they made arrangements to vacate the site permanently, and the park charged an ENTIRE extra months rent when they were literally a couple of hours late in vacating the site, with no shred of empathy or consideration. Terrible customer service.

Good campground for our 45' RV w/toad for a week. We met the office and maintenance team, friendly and responsive to needs. There are a small amount of sites on the edge of the park designated for Thousand Trail members amidst the long term and seasonals. We had 50amp full hook-up w/room for our Jeep. We chose this location to drive down to the beach at S. Padre and to visit Progresso Mexico. Would not be a destination park for us.

It's a wonderful place to stay, people here are friendly, and they have alot of activities. A great gated place if you want a safe environment. I'm very pleased to say that we stay here year round.

Excellent campground for extended stay. Staff and residents are friendly and helpful. Good monthly price for full hookups. Very clean restrooms, laundry, pool, and fitness center. No cable TV, but good digital signals. We stayed in our Class C. Only negative is proximity to freeway, but not an issue at night. Highly recommend.
