Always a great place to go

I love to fish here. It’s always really clean and never very crowded in the fishing spots. The beach area is always really clean and although at times it can be very crowded it’s still a really nice spot to be.

Beautiful state park with a gorgeous lake.

Went and got my patoka lake permit/stickers for my kyack and flat bottom boat. I asked if my flat bottom row boat needed to be registered for a motorized sticker to use a trolling motor and was told " No " that sticker is all I need.

Clean and well maintained. Love the shower house, they were heated. We had a group tent with 6 people and 4 tents. Rented 2spots. The first night our neighbors were so loud and the dogs were not chained even though they were well trained. The noise and loud music went on until around 2am. The 2nd night the people were not quite as loud but I will say at midnight music was still going on. I’m not trying to be rude but I thought every state park had quite time around 10 or 11 pm. When I say loud music it was loud

Very nice campground. Electric Only 50/30 but have a potable water station as you com in and water spigots throughout the park, fire ring at each site, black top driveways, picnic table. No wifi, AT&T and Verizon had ok signal in certain spots. There are some lake view spots but they are a distance away from the actual lake with some paths down to some fishing spots. Campground roads in great shape no overhanging branches that we saw on the way to our spot. Easy drive from I-64. Seemed like a quite campground for being a Summer weekend. Large campground over 300+ sites. Camp store with lots of supplies available and a fish cleaning station. Only negative and not really the parks fault make sure you get a spot with shade, afternoon sun in the summer is brutal for spots that don't have shade. Just something to mention. Will definitely be back only 1.5 hrs from Louisville, KY! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
