The staff is very friendly and helpful. My kids loved the bingo and the kayak rentals. I also LOVE that this campground does not charge for package pick ups..... Something I sadly see a lot of Thousand Trails campgrounds are starting to do. Thank you for offering this service included in our stay. We appreciate it. My biggest tip: Visit the pond beachfront at night, it is majestic!!!

My wife and I stayed here for labor day weekend. This place is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our site was plenty roomy and shaded. They had stuff going on throughout the weekend which was nice. The pond is beautiful and there is a lot there for kids to do. Very clean and kept up throughout the campground. The lady that checked us in was amazing and she moved friends that were staying there with us to the site right across from us so that was great. The location is awesome. 15 minutes from everything in Ellsworth. 30 minutes from Bar Harbor and about the same to Bangor. We will definitely go back.

First year as a seasonal and so far it has been amazing. Fred and Deb are amazing along with the other staff. Have seen reviews were they placed Patten Pond as not kid friendly. Well far from true. Seasonal campers and other campers are very friendly and the kids that are seasonals are very respectful. Great family atmosphere. Great entertainment on weekend. Very quiet and very relaxing. Would definity recommend Patton Pond

It’s a nice campground more or a family friendly place. Lots going on. So if you’re looking for like those more in nature camp grounds that’s not really the case here. They have events and such so if you wanna just go out and also have things going on it’s a decent spot. Good amount of space at the camp site. Probably one of the better spots you’ll find near Acadia. Has a nice store with common things you can buy. Also the restrooms probably one of the best you can get at a camp ground. Private showers and standard restrooms with stalls. And a place to do laundry. People can be up late here though. The mornings are pretty quiet. Dogs can’t swim where people are but can off to the side.

Overall, we enjoyed place. Cleanest porta-potty down by water. Good area for kids to swim, separate from boaters. Staff was good. Some activities for kids, which we appreciate. Rocks all over property proved to be huge obstacles for a lot drivers with less experience, but personally doesnt make place less fun and appealing. Golf cart rentals would make this a 5 star as its a little hike up to trash and activity hut.

Initially we were squeezed into a site we could hardly fit into. The neighbor was using our spot as a car parking spot… few days later requested to move because we were clearly not fitting in the spot they assigned us. We moved and spent the next week smelling sewage. The smell was really bad near the entrance and was in many areas of the campground. We couldn’t even use the fire pit due to the stench. Bathrooms were clean (aside from poo smell) showers also were clean. Location is good right on the water with quick drive to Acadia. Loose dog started a small scuffle with our (on leash) dog. Dog owners didn’t seem concerned about their off leash dogs… no where to walk dogs other than through the campground. Would be nice to have a small trail or other walking area. The smell throughout our stay just made everything horrible. Couldn’t enjoy sitting outside our camper. Won’t be returning for this reason.

6/19/24 - Great staff. Loved the welcome trinkets. Store is large with lots of souvenir merchandise. Well maintained park. Renting a canoe or kayak is a must! The lake is beautiful. The bathroom and showers are clean and the laundry machines use an app or credit card. Will definitely come back to visit.

Stayed in the "Yellow Cabin" and can't say enough wonderful things about it! It was super clean and well appointed! The kitchen included anything we would need to make a great meal, including a full size refrigerator, stove and oven, as well as a microwave and a single serve coffee maker that uses K-cups! There is plenty of space in this little park model, especially considering the Florida room that is attached, which is a great space to sit and enjoy your morning coffee! Need to get some work done? No problem! There is a built in desk space and wifi available! For longer stays, there is even a washer and dryer in the cabin! You'll want to bring bed linens/sleeping bags and towels. Enough about the cabin, though! The campground itself is so beautiful and well maintained! You'll find relaxation as soon as you drive onto the property. It is just such a calming environment! I'm looking forward to my next stay!

Patten Pond was an awesome getaway and a great place to use as a base camp for our adventure to Acadia. We took a double kayak rental to the island in the middle of the lake for 20 dollars. We saw a loon trying to eat a fish way too big for it and a raptor of some kind on the island. Campsite was great and isolated from the RVs and the quiet hours were awesome. The staff in the front office were very helpful and patient. Overall great experience.

We like Patten Pond Campground. We stayed here for more than a week in mid of July. We were assigned site #305, under the tree, and a little privacy, great site. The pattern pond has clear water, and beautiful view. The whole park is clean, beautiful. We added propane here. They are very friendly. The closet town Ellsworth has the great lobster! Acadia national park is about 30 miles away.

Hidden campground down a long gravel road. Our site was near the front and very quiet. Campers adhered to the 5mph speed. Friendly staff. Nice spot to stay after long days exploring and hiking.

We stayed here Sept 25-30 and had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Campground and sites are super clean. If we are ever in the area we will definitely stay with you again.

The lake and swimming area was nice (star). Location was perfect (star). Staff was great. The interior RV sites were too close to each other. Basically everyone's parked car is directly next to the other sites campfire...I am pretty sure my neighbors truck was parked on my site...no defined space. The perimeter sites looked a lot better.

Great place near Bar Harbor without Bar Harbor prices. Pretty campground on a nice lake. No extra amenities but they do have a bigger bathroom and shower area and laundry room. Nothing fancy but nice to have. Laundry pricey for $4 a load fir wash and dry. We had to dry twice.
