Peach Beach Campark
Overview
Peach Beach Campark offers a unique riverside experience nestled along the banks of the Columbia River. Located in the high desert region of Washington, this park is known for its seasonal peach orchards and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It serves as a scenic base for those looking to explore the Columbia River Gorge while enjoying a more intimate, family-owned setting compared to larger state facilities. The park blends natural beauty with essential comforts for a memorable stay.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just off Highway 97 near the Oregon border, the park sits directly on the water. The surrounding landscape features rolling hills and dramatic basalt cliffs characteristic of the Gorge. One of the most notable features is the proximity to the Gorge windsurfing spots, making the park a popular hub for water sports enthusiasts who appreciate the natural wind funnels created by the canyon walls. The views of the river at sunset are particularly striking.
Amenities & Park Features
The park provides a variety of site types to accommodate different travel styles. Full hookup RV sites are available, alongside dedicated grassy areas for tent campers. Practical features include:
- Private swimming cove with a sandy beach for guest use.
- Clean restroom and shower facilities.
- On-site laundry and a convenient dump station.
During the late summer months, the highlight for many guests is the ability to purchase fresh fruit directly from the adjacent peach orchards, offering a true taste of the local agriculture.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor recreation and culture are within minutes of the park. Travelers can visit the Maryhill Museum of Art, which houses eclectic collections in a historic mansion, or see the full-scale replica of Stonehenge nearby. For nature lovers, the Goldendale Observatory offers some of the best stargazing in the Pacific Northwest. Fishing, hiking, and wine tasting at local vineyards are also popular regional activities that showcase the diversity of the area.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is ideal for outdoor adventurers and families looking for a classic riverside vacation. It appeals to those who prefer a tranquil environment with direct water access over a highly developed resort experience. Because of its location in the heart of the Gorge, it is a perfect match for windsurfers and kiteboarders seeking a convenient place to launch while remaining close to the region's top historical and cultural landmarks.

Camp Host met our motorhome as we drove in. Gave comprehensive breakdown of where to setup, confirmed we'd been here before, passed us a site map, bag of peaches and we were good to go. Just the guy you would want, forward facing, when dealing with the public. Mature deciduous trees, great grassed in areas, along the Columbia River. Nice site. Worth the stay.

This is one of the best sites I've been to. The place is very clean staff helpful and friendly. Great space for all spots worth a great view of the Columbia River. As a treat you get a couple fresh peaches at check in, probably will depend on the time of year you visit. Even with out the peaches this is a great place to stay. Me and my wife will be returning.

This is our second year staying at Peach Beach RV Park and we will for sure be back for a 3rd year. We love how well kept the campground is, walking down to the fruit stand, the winery on the hill is always a fun visit and just sitting and chilling by the water is great too. If you want a nice relaxing camping trip this is the place to visit!

This is a great campground. Lots of shady trees and the lawn is kept up very nice. Everything is maintained and the bathrooms and showers are spotless. The camp hosts are very welcoming with some peaches when you check in. Easy walking access to Maryhill State Park and their beach. Even though the beach access at this park is not too shabby. The little fruit stand is within walking distance with a nice variety of produce, canned and otherwise. I will mention about the trains and autos being a little noisy, but the whole Columbia gorge is like that. Hopefully will be back soon!!

Great spot to spend a few nights. The hosts are very welcoming and keep the grounds spotless. When you check in, they hand you a bag with a couple of peaches right out of the orchard next door. The campground has it's own beach but if that isn't big enough for you, Maryhill State Park is next door with plenty of room. It can get a bit dusty from the rigs going by but the hosts do their best trying to keep the speeds down as much as possible. I'll definitely go again when I'm in the area.
