Pebble Hill RV Resort
Overview
Pebble Hill RV Resort offers a modern and peaceful retreat for travelers exploring the heart of Southeast Georgia. Located just outside the city center of Waycross, this park provides a sense of seclusion without sacrificing access to local conveniences. Visitors often remark on the cleanliness and organized layout, which highlights the property's status as a newer addition to the region's RV landscape. It serves as a comfortable home base for those who value quiet nights and well-maintained surroundings during their journey through the Peach State.
Location & Surroundings
Nestled within a classic pine-filled landscape, the resort is situated conveniently near Highway 82, making it an easy stop for those traveling across the southern states. The surrounding area is characterized by the flat, forested terrain typical of the Georgia coastal plain. While the park feels tucked away from the noise of heavy traffic, it remains just a short drive from the essential shops and local restaurants found in downtown Waycross, offering a perfect balance between rural charm and suburban accessibility.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is designed with modern RV needs in mind, featuring large full hookup sites that accommodate both 30 and 50-amp connections. Travelers can enjoy reliable Wi-Fi and well-kept laundry facilities throughout their stay. For those traveling with four-legged companions, the fenced dog park provides a safe space for exercise and play. The sites are generally level and wide, often including picnic tables and fire rings that encourage guests to relax outdoors and enjoy the mild Georgia climate in a clean environment.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The most iconic local destination is the Okefenokee Swamp Park, where visitors can take boat tours or explore boardwalks to see native wildlife like alligators and cranes. Nature enthusiasts will also appreciate the proximity to Laura S. Walker State Park, which offers scenic hiking trails and a championship golf course. For a bit of local history, the Southern Forest World museum provides insight into the region's timber industry, making the area a rich destination for both educational trips and outdoor adventures.
Who This Park Is Best For
Because of its wide turns and generous site lengths, this park is particularly big-rig friendly, making it a favorite for Class A and large fifth-wheel owners. It is an ideal choice for seasonal snowbirds looking for a calm winter destination or road trippers needing a high-quality stopover with reliable utilities. If you prefer a tidy, professional environment over a rustic forest campground, Pebble Hill provides the level of comfort and utility that modern RV travelers expect from a premier resort.

I Love this RV camping area. I can tell you if I could rate above a 5 I would. It is a perfect out of the way place for campers, but still close to small towns and plenty of places within a decent drive to still have access to so many things to do. For kids & adults. It is quiet, relaxing and well maintained. And the amenities are awesome. There is a large relaxing pool, a couple of small ponds for kids to ‘fish’. Laundry room and has AC. Trash pickup, grass cut weekly in the summer. They weed kill so weeds do not get around your parking area and your tank hoses, they put out ant killer where and when needed and they have a playground area for kids and big wood swings for adults to sit, relax and get to know each other or just hang out if they want. And they have WiFi. There is a new manager/host, maintenance & co-owner since I arrived. They are all working on any issues that pop up and are doing a great job. You know it is GA and with heat/humidity/rain there is always something mother nature will throw at you…. They got rid of the bee issue at the pool with natural ideas from a beekeeper/apiarist. Once they were made aware the WiFi slowed down, (I’m guessing from the hurricane) it was corrected and runs good. The ponds are low due to the drought which is expected, but kids can still have fun trying to get bream (I call them brim🙃). But watch out for the turtles.😉 We get regular notifications if they have to turn water off if a leak, severe weather so we can put in awnings or secure things (which in a camper everyone should be watching that weather especially this time of year), and anything that arises that we may want to know about. Like a cooking meet & greet. But know if you have a phone there are many carriers. Some are better in a rural area than others. And they do not always know about the exact location and trees so that can always affect your phone service. But this is expected no matter where you travel. I have been lucky with my carrier that if WiFi is not connected to it I can still call, text and even check weather or just play on my phone. Now if you actually made it to the end of my long post please come stay awhile and relax, unwind or even just be a hermit away from the stress of life here at this awesome camping location and watch a fabulous sunset. You will not regret it.

Friendly staff, good weekly rates, beyond that, it's basically a trailer park. Probably 90% were long term who drive way too fast through the campground. Fishing ponds are pretty much dried up and the swimming pool and "clubhouse" are hell and gone from the campground and must be accessed by walking down a dirt road through a swamp with signs that say "caution, alligators and poisonous snakes present". Probably would not stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at Pebble Hill. It was close to everything we wanted to see in the Okefenokee parks as well as convenient to stores and restaurants. The sites are very nice. It is nicely landscaped and the sites are level Highly recommend if camping in this area.

It's a nice campground to park at and stay a while. Affordable laundry, clean bathroom, nice playground, and awesome pool! Large campsites, well maintained, and friendly residents! The rates could be a little lower, but because of the accommodations, I have no complaints. We met up with some travel buddies and had a wonderful time.

We are currently staying and have been staying long enough to say: 1) very pretty 2) Great space for each lot compared to many RV resorts where your very close. 3) The kids love the space not only because of the GREAT clear view of the stars, the birds, frog, crickets, deer, ducks, and turtles they have seen. But because of the people and how some weekends everyone comes togeather that wants to. 4) They are honest and very quick to respond caretakers/owners. 5) They listen to what their guest say and need. I can list more but so far for our family we LOVE it here.
