Pecan Park Riverside RV Park

I stayed here for 1.5 years. The park is quiet and clean, staff are incredibly helpful, and the location is great. It doesn't feel like it's 10 minutes to Texas State. There are showers, bathrooms, laundry, and a pool on site, plus river access. If I come back to this area with my trailer, I'm absolutely staying here again!

Stayed in fhu pull thru spot #518. It's next to the entrance gate, office, and pool area. The day I arrived, the power to the office went out so Internet and pool were down. Apparently, the cable was down too but didn't know that until next day. Once the power came back on, the wi-fi worked great. Same with the cable. The pool was up and running the day after the electric came back up and I used it thereafter after. Unfortunately, the bathroom in there doesn't have a working shower so to rinse off you have to use the bathroom/showers in the next building over which is next to the laundry area. The river is located in the back down the hill. Very nice area. Prior to my stay I did have issues getting a hold of someone in the office by phone as the number kept going to Brightspeed Internet and not to Pecan Park. I tried several times with no avail. I emailed as well but did not hear back. I finally gave it one more try to call and they answered and was able to get some questions answered and book. They advised they've been having phone trouble and that sometimes their email gets sent to spam so that was why I didn't hear back. They also stated that normally booking is done online. I received a call from the Park after my stay to discuss my time at there and was very pleased with his understanding. So, even though there were a few hiccups, at the end of the day, my stay was pleasant. It's in a great location close to Luling and Lockhart too.

First time here and first time using my RV. Great place. Very relaxing and very friendly staff and others in the park. I will be back. The scenery was beautiful. If it were warmer, I would have jumped in the river. I didn’t like the fact there were no hiking trails. Their site said there were but there was nothing really. Still a great time.

We absolutely LOVE this RV park. Perfect proximity to our daughter’s university and perfect location for hanging out in the San Marcos River. We’ve already spent several weekends there and have had such fun every single time! Also, all the staff are just so very kind and welcoming. Really awesome place! Would and already have, totally recommended it to friends and family.

Let me just say pecan park was an absolute success. The staff in the office was so amazing. Miss Terry took the time to walk me through my reservation booking process The RV site that she told me about was a perfect spot for my family. The day of the big game when the Longhorns played Ohio. (I know we lost), we cannot get the Internet going. The maintenance supervisor came out and still was not successful. Before we knew it the owner was there making sure that the cable was running in order for us to see the game. Coming from a manager position I know how important customer service is. With that being said, the management team along with his staff are very passionate and dedicated to being a good place to visit. We will definitely be returning.

This was our second trip to Pecan Park Riverside, and it was even better than our amazing first experience! We have 3 small kids and absolutely loved camping here. The staff are nice and helpful, the sites are well kept, the restrooms are clean and well stocked, and the residents are friendly. There’s a small hike down to the river, and the river access is great during the week but gets pretty rowdy and not kid friendly on the weekends (to be expected). The campground itself is very quiet, the pool and playground are nice, although the playground could use a little TLC (our kids played on it and loved it, though). We had a great time and are hoping to make this campground a family vacation tradition!

Wonderful, quiet facility tucked back away from the highway. A true "get-away" placed with easy access to the San Marcos River. We came in at night on site site 328 and backed in. We didn't realize till morning the site would work better as a "pull in forward" site to put the table on the passenger side of the MH - but it worked out still. Gravel pad was level and smooth. A good park for a weekend get-away!

Nice quite park, check in was just fine for us. Office crew were very helpful. The indoor pool was nice for my grandson it didn't matter that it rained. Dog park was great for are fur babies. Seemed to be a lot of full time trailers but everyone was nice. Having the river right there was nice we took the dogs down there for walks. Saw a few people kayaking. They do have rules for guest not a problem for us, that's how they keep their park quiet and under control. We will definitely be staying there again, when we come visit family.

What an wonderful rv park. Nice place to take a break from your long road trip. The owners and camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Took a stroll down to the river (heard the fishing was good). The views from the park are so beautiful including the pecan orchard, huge old oak trees, cute signs and ironwork sculptures and lots of deer. The sites are large and well maintained. The restrooms and showers are so clean. If you have pups (we have 2) they love this place and lots of walking places. They sell fresh eggs from their chickens on grounds which include free range who will come say hi to you. The eggs were so good and also the raw pecans for sale. We really loved staying here to recoup and rest for a few days.

I went to this park on the 17th of March and paid until the 31st of March. On the 21st of March I fell and broke my hip. I could not go back to the park as I was in the hospital and my husband can't move or take care of the motor home as he has Alzheimer's. I called the park to let them know that I needed to send someone to pickup the motor home. They told me to email them with the information. I did and ask if I could get a refund for the unused amount and never heard back, except the notice I received from the bank that they charged a fee for someone to come and move the motor home. I won't stay in this park, when they don't care about their customers.

We enjoyed our time here. We had a pull through spot with a small tree on the passenger side (spot 511) - no issues with anything (didn't see office personnel even during check in). It's a quiet community with a couple dog parks. We were here for 5 days and ever saw any rigs leaving. I walked the San Marcos river walk with the dogs and ventured into Austin to occupy myself. Probably really fun to tube the river but not in January!

RIPOFF WARNING - DO NOT STAY AT PECAN PARK RIVERSIDE RV PARK Pecan Park Riverside RV Park, owned by Jim Rowley and his son David Rowley, are nothing but a bunch of scammers and I warn anyone thinking about staying at their RV park to stay far far away. Not only is the staff rude and a bunch of RV Park Nazis who don't follow the rules themselves, they steal money from people who are good tenants. We wanted to stay for a couple of months and they made us sign a 6 month contract, which we did reluctantly. We paid the first month along with a $300 deposit and a $50 electric deposit. We are a quite, professional couple involved in the travel and tourism industry and paid our monthly space rent and electric bill on time every single month with absolutely no problems. However, when we were getting ready to leave, we talked to the staff and let them know that we would be heading out a couple of days early, let them know that we did not expect to be reimbursed for those 3 days and told them that they were more than welcome to rent out our space to make additional revenue for those extra 3 days. I was told that I would receive my entire refund back onto my debit/credit card used to pay the deposit that same day, minus the electric bill, which would be taken out of my $50 deposit and any additional amount if the electric bill was more than $50, which it was. It was $76. Instead of them taking the additonal $26 out of my $300 deposit, I got notice that a charge was placed on my debit/credit card and I did not receive any kind of refund. Upon inquiring about it, we were told that because we left 3 days early and that since our rv was not in the space we rented that we automatically gave up our deposit. I asked to speak to the owner and he was not there but was told that they would give him the message and have him call me back but he did not do so. This place is a ripoff and needs to be shut down. Their business license should be taken away. If you are looking for a place to stay for the weekend or long term with your rv, be warned that you should look else where or you to will end up being ripped off.

Poor management and office employees. I was going to stay at the Pecan Park but then i had to cancel. They refunded all but one day non-refundable deposit. Who does that?? On top of that they charged me $600.00 to my credit card by mistake because they apparently keep it on file and are able to charge to at their discretion. Word to the wise, after making payment, make sure they destroy your personal information and credit card information. I asked to speak to the owners and they never were professional enough to speak to me one-on-one. Sad!
