This is a very quiet campgrounds. Not your active lifestyle campgrounds. There is a bathhouse and horseshoes on site. Ice is $3.50 a bag and firewood is $20 for a self loaded wheelbarrow. Full hookups are great. Wifi is fast. There are a couple of pavilions with plenty of picnic tables for a gathering. Very close to whatever you need. Walmart, lowes and restaurants. If you want to relax id definitely recommend this place on the river.

We stayed at Penn Avon for 1 night, as we were headed home. The site was very easy to get in & out of. The bathrooms were clean. Everyone was friendly. The price was reasonable. It was easy to get to from the highway. A supermarket & gas station were very close. We were able to bring our dogs.

Penn Avon is a great, well groomed campground. It’s very close to the nice Selingrove downtown. The park has excellent sites with great sites. Gravel is very good. All utilities were spot on. The park is super clean. Probably our only concern is that it’s a little pricey. We did enjoy our stay.

AWESOME family campground, great facilities, site are easy in-out. Their is a family of American Bald Eagles no more than 1500 yards from the campground. Penn Creek rolls through for great ascetics and more. What a great "little campground". So happy I am there.

0 amenities, roadway nearby is very noisy at night. Made a lomg term reservation here with a 44ft fifth wheel. Backed into a spot and all was fine until I receive a message asking me at the end of March to move my unit to lot 17. Lot 17 according to their office is for up to a 42 foot unit and is back against the creek bed. Literally the back of the site drops straight down. Lot 17 is also on the corner of the roadway without extra space. I paced the spot and showed the office lady that my unit where I would be comfortable backing it to during rainy season with soft ground and erosion would block site 18 and be into the road so that if a large unit took that corner wrong they would take out our unit. We were supposed to see the owner to talk. Never did instead got a text stating we needed to move to lot 17 regardless of our discomfort. We left March 30th then were asked again via text if they had another spot would be stay. We asked what lot and never got a reply. The secretary was extremely rude and told us "we did you a favor". I was a paying customer on an extended rental worth approximately $15k when all said and done.

Not open as advertised. Left us stranded at 10:00 pm with no where to go. Clearly advertised as open 24 hours . No one answered phone. Unable to make online reservation. Website needs updating for online reservations. There was no open walk up registration! I am perfectly capable of "knowning where I am", 3 GPS maps on phones AND map tend to get you to the right place. We are experienced RV's 30+ years and insults will get you nowhere especially not new business. Stay away from this place. It was frozen solid, lockup up tight, NO personnel in signt. No customer service and if you aren't satisfied and honest...they insult your experience. Their cameras were as frozen as the rest of the place. We didnt have a problem finding a campsite at a real campgrouund that was REALLy open as advertised

The owner Wayne is a great guy. Always returns my texts and finds me availability when passing through. The campground is low key. Clean and very well kept. No pool or any big attractions. Just quiet relaxation. It doesn’t need the big amenities. The Wi-Fi is normally fast enough to stream tv. I’ve stayed at some super ghetto campgrounds so you really can appreciate how solid this place is put together. Everything from the water faucets to the power panel is in good locations on the sites. Everything is built sturdy. I’ve broken water valve knobs hooking my hose up before. Not a problem here. Winter months they go the extra mile to make sure the hook ups on their end do not freeze up. It’s just an all around positive campground and we always feel home when we get there.

Just right, especially for this beginner camper! Nice mix of short term and seasonal campers. Pet friendly but well cared for, everyone picks up after their dogs. We're just starting out with our 19' camper. Plenty of space, right along Penns Creek with trees for shade, full hookups, wifi and cable, within 5 miles of grocery store and shopping as we learn the camper way ... While nerve wracking as we learn, had no real trouble parking the camper and got great help and tips from the well seasoned and experienced campers here. A few pull through spots and some sites even accommodate the giant bus sized RVs! The bath house is nice as well, centrally located in the campground. Lights on a self set timer so pay attention so you don't strand yourself in the dark. Showers are push button to conserve water but get warm nicely if your camper shower is a touch tight. This had been a nice little escape.

Visited in April 2021. Lovely site, well kept. Not crowded during our visit and we were graciously given a creek-side slot. Thanks! Dog walking meadows to the north and south are nifty, too, though not part of the campground. No laundry that I could see but centrally located bathrooms. Owner/manager usually not in the office; everything is done by phone or text. Great stopover. Recommended

It's a small camp ground and quiet. Good WiFi and cable. Many of the transient sites alternate so your door is facing others. The sites are gravel and level. It sits along side Penn Creek steam so kayaking is available if you have your own. They sell ice and wood and each site has a fire ring. The owner seems pleasant enough. There is NO ONE in the office except on Friday After noon. There is not much to do in the local area, but it is pretty. You are not far off of a fairly busy two Lane road so there is some noise. There is a small airport not far so during the day you will hear small planes loudly. There is no fenced dog run. Where we were put was not easy to get into for a large rig and a worker actually called and asked why they would put us there. There is a small bath house.
