Since there aren’t too many reviews, I wanted to add that we had a wonderful weekend, the kids playground was great, and by far the best dog park yet. The store sold penny candy and the seasonal residents were so so nice. We participated in a first ever fall fest with good food and music, and the jump pad kept the kids busy. There are many improvements that the owner is working on, I can’t wait to return next year to see the all changes and of course looking forward to the pool.

Upon reading the very limited reviews of PA Dutch campground in Bernville, PA, I was very nervous to go there for our Pennsylvania road trip. This was our first time towing our rig that far, and without solid reviews to go on, we were relying on the word of the owner and the women that work in the office. My parents also camp with us, and after several back and forth exchanges we were a little put off by miscommunication with the website and the expectation in reality, this being a payment in full prior to arrival due to the holiday weekend. The owner was able to help us out and make an exception. Other than this, when we arrived, we were taken back by the beauty of the area. The campground is very well-maintained, clean, and there is a lot of work being done. I think that the prior reviews on here are definitely older, and this campground deserves a fair shake. The owner explained to us that they are doing a lot by the way of electrical updates, updating the sites to make "buddy sites" and making the campground more eventful for patrons. A jump pad had just been installed for kids, the pool area looked clean and pristine, there was maintenance going on daily (painting posts, staining deck boards, etc.) The owner invited us to a complimentary cookout on July 3rd that we were unable to attend, due to going to Hershey Park that day. (Other activities that we didn't get to try: movies, pool tables/rec area) Now for the negative... When we pulled up to our sites, we were delighted to find that we were on "buddy sites" with my parents, where we actually faced their camper (probably me more so than my husband, haha.) The caviat was that these sites were relatively new, and they had not accounted for the pull thru aspect of my parents site. They had to back into the site, which wasn't a big deal, but would have been if there were someone across the road. When my parents tested the electric before plugging in, they discovered that there was no ground. This was immediately remedied on the spot by 2 staff members. Similarly, we had an issue on our site with the sewer, and the same 2 staff members popped right down and addressed it immediately. So essentially, no negative! The campground was quiet and peaceful. If camping in the area, we would most definitely return. It was a fair distance to Hershey and Amish Country, the main areas for our visit.

Scott is a scam artist. We put down a 375 deposit for a site that wasn't available yet to hold it. My father was in a terrible accident and things turned for the worse and I need to take care of him and am unable to move to the site. I called and emailed numerous times and no response. I finally got a hold of Scott and he told me I cannot have the deposit back because he could of rented it to 100 other people even though the site wasn't ready yet. He also stated we didn't have a contract. I do have a receipt that says security deposit and now my attorney is involved. So instead of reimbursing what was owed, we now have to start the legal process to get the money back. They say it's on their website to not issue refunds but that was just put on and my attorney is aware of this. Wish I could give a negative star rating. Beware of this man and campground and stay away!!!!

This place is so beautiful to camp in and also live in. There's a gate and they give you a card to make the gate open and close. It's just full of giant tall trees through the whole park. All the people I met were so nice and friendly too.

Matt at the front gate was amazing! We had an assigned site which I feel makes much more sense. With having a larger unit we have had issues with smaller campers taking up the bigger sites that often are the only we can fit into. Hope Thousand Trails continues with this policy. Entire staff was wonderful actually. Better prices than at most of the camp store. There was lots of activities on Friday and Saturday. Only real complaint was the smell. Not sure if there was sewer/septic issues but every so often there was an awful raw sewage smell throughout the entire campground.

A lot of nice upgrades being done all over the campground. The restaurant is excellent. Food quality, quantity and price can't be beat. Do yourself a favor and visit this campground.

It's a nice campground, Very peaceful, The bathrooms were closed which was kind of a thumbs down for people without an RV. I know we have this Covid thing going on but to not have a working bathroom or somewhere to shower could be a deal breaker for some, I camped with friends with an RV so it wasn't an issue this time but I wouldn't go back unless they opened a restroom and had a place to take a hot shower....

Needed a long term spot in the fall. Got an inexpensive spot here for a month... Management and staff are friendly and competent. More permanent sites than most parks we’ve stayed at....
