Loved camping there. Now I am talking seventy years ago. Park had about 12 camp sites. For .25 cents you had electricity. One 15 Amp fuse that was always popping out if more than several sites was using it. I remember some walk-in toilets and grassy area to a pier. My dad loved fishing for walleyes along a bar on the north side. Brings back a lot of memories for me.

A decent place to pop up for the night. It’s a little packed in and busy. But there is lots to do. A close walk to the park. Not much of a beach but the swimming was nice. It took a little bit to get deep. There is a small store searching up some essentials. Ice cream. It’s nice just might not be for everyone.

We had an absolutely relaxed mini vacation at this park. Seems like there were alot of seasonal campers, and we were there during the week so it was quiet. Nice lake and cute little store that offers what you would expect a little store to have. Did I mention ice cream? Yummy, and a good variety.

Campground is awesome, lots to do and see! Great beach area and the little store has lots of goodies! Only complaint is nosy campers who complain about adults riding bikes past sunset.

I have enjoyed this beautiful park all my life! You will enjoy camping...be prepared for neighbors as lots of folks love camping here. There is a store with candy, drinks, some toys and ICE CREAM! The beach has a children's floating dock and 3 resting logs to get you to the deeper floating dock. No lifeguard on duty so be sure your Littles can swim or wear floatation. The real magic is in the sacred ceremonial bowl area and in the areas of the native American burials. These areas are clearly marked. Please be very respectful as you visit these Sacred grounds. Enjoy our beautiful area we are so fortunate to call it home.

A beautiful park and campground that has many shady and peaceful sites to offer for campers. And don't forget the vast swimming space that Lake Chicagoan has to offer as well.

The lake is nice and the area is relaxing. They added a bike path near by and expanded what they offered at the camp store. The bathrooms could be cleaned more often, but otherwise it is a great place to camp with the family.
