Established in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this 1,700-acre park blends historic CCC architecture with modern camping conveniences. It is centered around the expansive Lake Tangipahoa, where the gentle rustle of loblolly pines and the sight of blooming magnolias create a tranquil backdrop for travelers seeking a deep connection with nature and serene lake views.

Amenities & Park Features
The park caters specifically to RVers with over 100 well-maintained sites, many of which offer premium full hookups and paved pads. On-site facilities include clean bathhouses, laundry areas, and a seasonal swimming pool for cooling off in the summer heat. For active travelers, the premier Quail Hollow Golf Course is located right on the property, providing a championship-level experience. Additionally, the park features multiple playgrounds, a boat launch, and miles of shaded nature trails.

It’s a beautiful place, has good fishing and nice grills at the pavilions. Some of the public restrooms could use some upgrading and cleaning. The cabins are usually well maintained (at least if you like living in a small cabin in the woods and aren’t expecting to live in style🤭) and have good views of the lake. The primitive camping sites are nice and lots of fun too.

We rented Pavilion 1 for my daughter's Celebration of Life. This pavilion is a nice brick building with 3 large openings on each side to allow for good air flow and a patio on the front and back. The pavilion had electricity and an area to set up food. Four long woden picnic tables and one shorter table inside the pavilion with more picnic tables and grills right outside the pavilion. Bathrooms were also attached to the building with more just a short distance away. The view of the lake was beautiful. Park staff came around to check on us and empty the trashcans and were super nice. We could stay from 7am til the park closed and was very reasonably priced. We were also allowed to have a jumper for the kids. This is the South and it is hot so i do recommend renting some industrial fans, which we did, and it was perfect. They also have some open wooden picnic areas that do not have electricity but do have picnic tables and are close to the playground. Highly recommend if you need a place for reunions or large get-togethers.

If you want to fish or play golf this is the park for you. Beyond that, this park is really lacking in both condition and things to do. The drive in is pretty with a canopy of trees but once you get to the RV sites it is like camping in a parking lot. No trees, no shade and the sites are on top of one another. The park site states that it has been newly renovated but the bathrooms are old and rarely cleaned. Dead bugs were all over the counter and in the sinks. The also have no a/c and were hot and sticky even in April. The swimming pool was drained and the tennis courts are so old and/or dirty you can not even see the lines. There is only one trail to hike in the park and it is a disaster. Swamp like, broken boards on the bridges and downed trees blocking the trail. One shoe was found stuck in one of the washed out mud crossings and we declared it the symbol of the whole Percy Quinn experience. Swimming is at your own risk. Alligators and cotton mouth snakes were spotted. This park tries to offer too much and does most of it poorly.

We spent 4days at Percy Quinn S.P. Park has been completely upgraded, large and spacious sites, beautiful landscaping and peaceful. Love the love lock bridge! Great addition! Headed back in 2 weeks. Can’t wait lol!!
