Very quiet and far away from the city. As far as service goes Verizon is almost non existent you can maybe send sms but that’s it. I prefer it that way personally. Make sure to grab cash BEFORE you arrive because the nearest atm is 10 miles down the road. Good fishing in the pine river caught several small trout

Pros: 1. Very pretty...The Pine River runs through it and there is decent kayak access. 2. Very quiet on weeknights. Could be bear activity when it's quiet, so take precautions. 3. Pretty close to all of the Pine River Access points (within 10 miles or so) 4. Nice campfire rings at each site. Primitive camp site, so as expected, not a lot of amenities. Cons: 1. Camping sites are pretty small; maybe enough space for two tents or a small to mid.size RV. 2. The vault toilets ran out of toilet paper. 3. On the weekend, it is pretty loud well into the night with noisy people, probably because there.is nobody there to monitor like other campsites.

If you're looking for a rustic camping site, this is your place! It has a stunning view of the Pine River, and if you enjoy outdoor recreation, the Manistee National Forest is right there. This is truly a gorgeous and genuinely well maintained campground, with a quiet atmosphere that lends to a beautiful escape from daily life.

Great little camp ground, tons of trails and things to do, river runs the whole campground and along the whole trail. Bring a fishing pole and a small spinner and the trout will love you

Nice rustic campground located on the Pine River just north of Luther, MI. 26 campsites which are first come first serve. No reservation option on MI DNR site. There is a hiking trail along this beautiful river, which is great for kayaking or canoeing and fishing. No cellular network connection in this valley area. If you go to higher ground you can get a signal if needed. Wildlife and hilly pine forests. Could hear coyotes howling at the moon in the distance late at night.

It was our first time staying here. We rode the Harley up and staying 2 nights in our tent. We had the river next to us. It was great. The trail was fun too! There is some good swimming spots for kids in the river by the camp sites Sandy bottom shallow water. The only down side was a group of other campers. They were very loud long into the night even after midnight. It nearly ruined the stay.

We’ve been coming to Silver Creek for over a decade and we still love it. It’s a beautiful, rustic campground that has the Pine River right next to it. It’s pretty popular with folks tubing and kayaking. Toilets are vault and aren’t terrible. The section of the North Country Trail that comes through makes for a beautiful morning hike, watching the forest wake up and come to life. If you’re looking for something quiet and relaxing, this is PARTIALLY it. The sites are pretty private but the traffic can get heavy on weekends with sunny/warm weather with folks coming in for day trips on the river. The nights are quiet and the bridge is a nice spot to lay and watch for shooting stars.
