Perry's RV & Campground

Overview

Perry's RV & Campground offers a classic Montana experience situated just outside the charming town of Red Lodge. This family-owned destination has provided a welcoming home base for travelers for decades, offering a peaceful atmosphere right on the banks of Rock Creek. It serves as an essential stop for those preparing to tackle the legendary Beartooth Highway, providing a comfortable blend of natural beauty and necessary conveniences for modern RVers looking for a genuine mountain escape.

Location & Surroundings

The park is perfectly positioned to capture the rugged spirit of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. Guests are treated to the soothing sounds of the creek and stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Its location provides a scenic mountain backdrop while remaining close enough to the amenities of town for supplies and dining. The transition from the high-plains to the alpine environment makes this area a unique ecological crossroads that serves as a beautiful introduction to the high country.

Amenities & Park Features

Travelers will find well-maintained facilities designed to make their stay stress-free. The park offers full hookup sites with options for both pull-through and back-in configurations to accommodate various rig sizes. Practical amenities include clean restrooms, showers, and on-site laundry facilities to refresh after a long drive. For many, the highlight is securing one of the creekside spots, where you can enjoy a morning coffee just steps away from the rushing water and native trout habitat.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is just moments away, starting with the iconic Beartooth Highway, often called one of the most beautiful drives in America. Guests are within easy reach of the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, making it a fantastic alternative to staying inside the busy park boundaries. The downtown area of Red Lodge features historic architecture and local breweries, while outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the many hiking trails that wind through the Custer Gallatin National Forest.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for travelers who value a rustic and authentic vibe over the polished feel of a luxury resort. It is a favorite for road trippers planning their journey over the pass and for anglers who want easy access to mountain fishing. Because of its quiet nature and proximity to the wilderness, it is a perfect match for outdoor adventurers and families looking for a traditional Montana camping experience as they explore the gateway to the Rockies.

Next to a roadway, we heard cars all night. They ran their sprinkler system at 2:00 in the afternoon. Watered our chairs, picnic table. I had to walk through the sprinklers yo get inside my RV.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here in our camper, site was just a few yards from peaceful creek. Interaction with all staff great! Most likely our final trip to this area but highly recommend this campground!

Right on the Beartooth Highway about an hour from Billings. Right on the Rock Creek outside the town of Red Lodge, MT. We planned on staying only a few nights and stayed for 7 nights. Stunning scenery, clean campground. It was a great as a “home base”. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Perrys for your hospitality!

Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied! We booked 4 nights for a relaxing time based on the reviews but were given a flooded site. It had been flooded for weeks (they knew about it but still sold the spot) so they installed a noisy pump right on our site in the grass. We were not able to use our site since it was muddy, ankle deep in water and full of mosquitoes. We pulled the picnic table out of the water/mud and placed it on the gravel parking pad. I understand they were sold out for the first night but all other nights there were several sites open but were not allowed to move. We were told if you don't like it, leave, knowing that in peak season we wouldn't be able to find another place. What was mostly disappointing was the Owner/management was extremely rude. They didn't care and didn't want to hear about any of it. Be careful when booking to ask if they fixed their flooding into your site since the pump is very noticeable at night and loads of mosquitoes due to the standing water.

Absolutely amazing! Found by chance, will return by choice! Beautiful place alongside a rushing river and not far from town. Drive to Yellowstone is beautiful too. The staff is amazing too! I cannot say enough how much me and my wife loved our stay. We had a tent site right alongside the river which provided soothing white noise of rushing water to sleep to. RV sites are nice too. Thank you for my morning coffee 😀
