Location & Surroundings
Situated in the scenic rolling hills of Carrollton, OH, the park overlooks the deep, cool waters of one of Ohio's most pristine lakes. The facility caters specifically to water lovers with a full-service marina, offering pontoon rentals and fuel for a productive day on the lake. Campers can choose between various sites, including those equipped with electric hookups for smaller RVs and trailers. Essential facilities like a clean shower house, a bait and tackle shop, and individual picnic areas provide the necessary conveniences for a long weekend of relaxation and angling without unnecessary distractions or resort crowds.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Fishing is the primary draw here, as Leesville Lake is widely considered one of the premier Muskie lakes in the entire Midwest. Beyond the water, visitors can explore the charming nearby town of Carrollton to enjoy local diners and historic architecture. For those willing to drive a short distance, the public hiking trails and expanded recreational facilities at Atwood Lake Park offer additional ways to enjoy the Great Ohio outdoors during your stay.
Who This Park Is Best For

I love this lake, its so peaceful

Nice size campsites with picnic tables, clean, quiet, good electrical hookups. No shower facilities. Small playground, dogs allowed on leash. Pit toilets are clean and private. Hand sanitizer available. Nice lake for kayaking and fishing but swimming is not advised. We got bad cases of “swimmer’s itch” from swimming near the campsite dock which is caused by flatworm larvae in the water. Not serious but very annoying. If you do get wet, towel off or rinse off immediately to avoid this condition.

We love camping here, we’ve been seasonal campers for several years. But this is acceptable. We’ve asked several times if they would fix this dock, we’re told it’s only 10 years old. It doesn’t matter that it’s UNDER WATER. They have no sense of urgency to fix things, but are very quick to cash my check. I’d hate to see someone fall on this broken dock that they keep open for use, someone might end up on their payroll.

I'd lost my kayak registration & Tappan Marina told me I had to purchase another registration. I ended up speaking to a nice Leesville Lady who had no problem looking up my identification# & for free I was back out on the Lake. THANK YOU!

Very nice environment, people were all nice as well. Little strange if you want to fish on shore better off heading somewhere else. Besides that it's pretty nice
