Great state park. It’s quickly become one of our favorites. Tons to do in the area. Nothing beats strolling the beach in the morning with a cup of coffee looking for petoskey stones. Perfect way to start the day.

Can't say enough about visiting this area. We took our 4 year old in April to search for petosky stones. It was definitely cold like 30-40 degrees but we had such as great time hunting for stones. There are plenty of beaches / parks where you can search for them. We stayed at an air bnb with their own private beach so that was helpful. There is a nearby town called Charlevoix which had many quaint restaurants and more beaches to explore as well as the mushroom homes to sight see. It would be a great place to visit in the summer when one can comfortably enjoy the lake. We loved the area and plan to revisit!

Nicely paved around the lake. Lots of pull offs to get out and stretch or take in some beautiful views and snap some pics. An abundance of trails to hike or bike. We stopped at their nature center. The people there were very friendly and informative.

Had a nice walkway to get close to the water, showers and foot showers by the restrooms. We went in green flag weather to be safe with the kids. Got great pics n found some pretty stones on the beach

Awesome place to stay. #134 so close to water and beach. Bathrooms are a little dated, but still, they were clean. Hated we couldn't take our dog to the beach. This was disappointing, but everything was so clean. Clear water. Beautiful rocks. Beautiful sunsets. We will still be back. There are so many places here that are good spots. If you have a bigger camper, it will be tight getting it in . It's so beautiful that we loved it here. A pleasant surprise
