Yes it’s a great place to take your family and friends .. but they needs to update there grills and bathrooms . Most the time the lights in the bath room don’t work and the hot water in the lady’s bath room wasn’t worken .. soo do some upgrades 👌🏼

We recently spent a weekend camping and kayaking at Horseshoe Point Park on Lake Philpott, and it was an incredible experience. The clear waters of the lake provided excellent visibility to observe the vibrant aquatic life beneath us as we paddled. The mountain scenery surrounding the lake was simply breathtaking, making every moment spent there a visual delight. The campground was well-maintained, with spacious sites that offered a comfortable and serene setting for our stay. We found ourselves wishing we had booked a longer trip, as a weekend simply wasn't enough to fully enjoy all that Horseshoe Point Park has to offer. The combination of beautiful natural landscapes, abundant wildlife, and excellent recreational opportunities makes it an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure. Lake Philpott's pristine environment and the park's well-organized facilities create a perfect escape from the daily grind. Whether you're into kayaking, camping, or just soaking in the scenic beauty, Horseshoe Point Park is a fantastic spot to unwind and connect with nature. I highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit.

One of the best beaches around Philpot Lake. Also a corps park so if you have the annual pass this spot is included. The area by the campsites is a great spot for bringing the kids and there is new sand down extending the beach. If you come here for camping there are some beautiful spots right by the water. Only thing is the restroom is a bit of a walk so be prepared for that. 100% recommend.

This is one of the many Park & Campground areas on the east side of Philpott Lake. It's open May 1 through September 30 for camping at one of the 49 camping sites, and you can still enter the park off-season to launch your boat, have a picnic or simply walk around the area. There are 2 designated swimming areas - one has a long sandy beach and looks like it will be very nice once the crews clean up the winter debris. The other is smaller and has plenty of shade and some picnic tables. The boat launch has two lanes but probably only one boat should be launched at a time. No grassy area near the water to launch your canoe or kayak. Try Salt House Branch instead, it's very close to Horseshoe Point. There is a well built covered area for picnics - handicap friendly. There are also several single picnic areas right on the lake. Many of the campsites are sort of isolated and face the lake without obstruction. You can launch your kayak right from one of these sites. Good restroom facilities and even a dump station for RV's. Very nice, well kept park overall. It's in a remote area so the number of visitors may be less than the other parks on Philpott. I rated as 4 stars only because the boat launch doesn't accommodate paddle boats well.
