Located in the small community of Picabo, the park is surrounded by vast agricultural fields and the rolling hills of the Silver Creek valley. It sits in a high-elevation desert environment known for its crystal-clear spring-fed streams and expansive sky. Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The primary draw is the world-class fly fishing on Silver Creek, a legendary spring creek famous for its challenging trout and beautiful scenery. Hikers and birdwatchers will find plenty to explore at the nearby Nature Conservancy lands. For a change of pace, a short drive north leads to the upscale shops and restaurants of Sun Valley and Ketchum. Additionally, travelers can take a day trip to the surreal volcanic landscapes of Craters of the Moon National Monument, which is located less than an hour to the east, offering unique hiking opportunities through lava tubes and cinder cones.

Clean, well kept. Close to Silver Creek and Picabo Angler Store which is a must see in Ketchum area. They have two of Hemingway's rifles on display. One was used in three movies.

Beautiful park. Spaces are big, restrooms have heaters.

Good place to camp when visiting Silver Creek area. Not great for just hanging at camp during the day. Just a little too much road noise. It is nice and quiet at night. Good Basecamp w electric (50amp), water & picnic table at the site. There is dump station and restrooms. Dog friendly.

We chose this campground for its proximity to Craters of the Moon National Monument, while still having RV hook ups. Our site was so level that we didn’t need to do anything to set up! You are kind of close to your neighbors, but it was ok as the folks next to us were considerate. There is unsecured WiFi provided, which worked most of the time. The store across the highway had supplies if you needed them. Many people come here for the fishing at Silver Creek. We hiked at Silver Creek Preserve, but did not fish. Some spots had shade, but others did not have much shade. The bathroom was very clean. The sheep across the dirt road added ambience, but also odor sometimes.

Small, clean RV park, with only about 16 spots and about 5 of them are pull-throughs. Our spot was 100’ long and all of the others are no less than 50’ long. They have unsecured WiFi available. Which is great because I only had 1 bar on my Verizon phone. We came to fish on Silver Creek, so I can’t say anything about the rest of the area. The preserve was our favorite spot to fish. But no dogs are allowed at the preserve.
