Great State Park tThey’re so many different things to do and see! Explore the lake in a kayak or canoe (you can rent one there or bring your own), relax on the beach and go for a swim in the designated swimming area (unfortunately this season (2025) the beach, campground and many of the other structures and buildings are undergoing improvements/b so they were not accessible m

The place is beautiful, and the camping amenities are really good: water, electricity, clean bathrooms and parking. We stayed here 2 nights on Dec 1st 2024; freezing but the starry night was awesome and the sunrise stunning 😍 if you camp there make sure to save the food properly and clean everything around, it’s a black bear active area; we heard some bears sniffing around our tents at night 👀

Beautiful park. Amazing fishing. Usually not to busy either. Hiked to the hazard cave. Relatively easy hike. My toddler loved it!!! Definitely recommend visiting! Don't miss on the Twin Arches hike either!! Awesome little playground for the littles also, with tons of picnic tables. Great spot to stretch and grab lunch.

Decided to check out this park while staying in the area at Big South Fork and I was really impressed by it. Great little beach area. Perfect for kayaking in a peaceful atmosphere. Great hikes. Natural Bridge is closed so that was a little disappointing but all the other hikes made up for it. Great to have a picnic here. There’s a little museum and a visitor center to grab some soveniors of a drink. Make sure to download your trails before hand as reception is none existent in areas. I would have loved to have stayed in a cabin there.
