Beautiful site right on the Lake Superior, #15 but deep sand on an incline. Biting flies were the worst I have ever encountered.

Beautiful beach, it was a little warm and humid when we arrived in early July, stable flies were present, only defense against them is long pants and shirt. They don't care if you're covered in Deet. Great place to hang for a few days. Gorgeous sunsets.

Nice rustic campground with nice clean vault toilets. Beautiful beach and nice hiking trail. Down falls: quiet hours are from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and the DNR and sheriff drive through multiple times a day. Camp host scolded someone in my family because we were around the fire the night before talking and laughing and apparently we were too loud. That night we were all in bed by 11pm. Another time, the DNR stopped by one of my families sites and said they couldn't have a water barrel even though it was no where on the rules list. Then the sheriff stopped by within 15 minutes later and said that it needed to be taken down now. I think the state budget could be spent else where. I love camping on Grand Marais but not here.

Great experience here. Beach is beautiful and great for rock hunting. Found a couple yoops before being eaten alive by the locals.

Great campground. Bathrooms were kept clean, and there were no showers. Views are stunning during sunsets. We camped on site 27. One photo is looking over our tent. Clear water with a variety of rocks
