Overview

Pier-Lon Park offers a welcoming and traditional camping environment for RV travelers visiting Northeast Ohio. Established as a family-owned destination, this park provides a scenic escape focused on a private five-acre lake. Whether you are passing through for a few nights or looking for a seasonal home base, the park emphasizes a relaxed pace of life within a lush, wooded landscape. The atmosphere is designed to help visitors reconnect with nature while enjoying a stable community feel.

Location & Surroundings

Located in Medina, Ohio, the park enjoys a prime location that balances rural charm with easy accessibility. It is situated near the intersection of Interstate 71 and Interstate 76, making it an ideal stop for those traveling across the state. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills and agricultural land, providing a quiet backdrop far enough from the highway noise. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by mature trees and well-maintained grounds that reflect the natural beauty of the region.

Amenities & Park Features

The heart of the park is its recreational water access, featuring a sandy swimming beach and a dedicated area for catch-and-release fishing. For active travelers, the park includes several features to keep everyone entertained:

  • Large playground and basketball courts for family fun.
  • Dedicated picnic pavilions for group gatherings.
  • Clean restrooms and essential services like on-site propane.
  • Spacious sites equipped with fire rings for evening campfires.

These features cater to those who enjoy outdoor activities without needing the high-intensity noise of a commercial resort.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the park gates, the city of Medina offers several unique cultural experiences. Travelers should not miss the historic Medina Public Square, known for its Victorian architecture and local boutiques. For a unique adventure, Castle Noel, the world’s largest indoor Christmas movie attraction, is just a short drive away. Outdoor enthusiasts can also explore Buckeye Woods Park, which offers extensive hiking trails and bird-watching opportunities within minutes of the RV park.

Who This Park Is Best For

Pier-Lon Park is an excellent choice for family-oriented campers who appreciate a safe and engaging environment for children. It is also well-suited for retirees and seasonal travelers looking for a quiet, long-term stay in a community-driven park. My 87 year old mother and I just pulled in the driveway today at 5:30 pm to have dinner with some friends that are spending the season at PierLon. Just as we were to enter with our host right behind us, a VERY irrate man came flying up on us in an ATV and screaming at us.

Really nice RV park with a 5 acre swimming pond and lots to do. Perfect family spot. Just to know, signs say no alcohol and no cannabis.

Nice campground! Friendly owner! Lots of amenities, has a lake with a beach, swimming lessons, disc golf, ice cream, hot dogs, air conditioned laundry, lots of grassy areas, very open, lots of seasonals, but not trashy. Nothing around the campground, can order in food! A little of the main highway! Would stay again!

What a nice family-run park. Clean and well maintained. Many seasonal campers here. Daily/weekly sites are grass/gravel. Our site G 10 was shaded. One day of rain got the site pretty wet but started to dry nicely the next day. The "G" section is changed to angled back in so the hookups can be a little challenging. We stayed in a 37' motorhome with a towed and had plenty of room. Very quiet and relaxing here

Beware of 5 mile an hour speed limit upon entering. Got talked to in a less than welcoming manner after we pulled in. We didn’t see a speed limit sign, but surely weren’t driving at a dangerous speed. Understandable that you have rules, but please be more respectful when speaking to your guests. After all, isn’t that the Christian way?
