Great campground, close to the highway but near the river sound was covered. Very clean and well taken care of.

Nice clean campground east of Independence Pass. 35 spots. Several a little too close to the highway but luckily not a lot of traffic, especially at night. Went on a Wednesday and busier than we expected. Spots were limited and not many for bigger RVs. There’s a double spot hidden right next to the river. Good room between spots though. Clean restrooms. Nice camp hosts and met some nice people. We would go back.

This is an excellent campground with a river running along the southern edge. Camp hosts in July of 2025 were what made this a truly excellent trip. Will return as it is a great site with access to several 14ers.

This is a REALLY nice and very CLEAN site. Bathrooms were clean and fresh. Camp hosts are great! Multiple sites border the Lake River and there is “easy” access to the river.

I stayed two nights at Twin Peaks Campground and had a fantastic experience. I have camped regularly my whole life and have never seen such an emasculate campground. Not only was there zero trash in sight, but they had the cleanest restrooms I’ve seen at a campground. The camp host during my stay was Hannah, who was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Hannah was often present to assist campers, provide assistance and information, and go above and beyond to make everyone’s camping experience the best possible. Thank you, Hannah!

This is a lovely campground with excellent views of the mountains and the sound of the stream below. Campsites are private and large, and the host is fantastic. My husband ran into a medical emergency while there, and Hannah and Mitchell helped us pack everything and hook up our teardrop trailer. They couldn’t have been more kind as we needed to leave earlier than expected. We will absolutely be back!

Camped here in early July and felt lucky to find a site on a Friday. #8 was fine but when we came back in late August numerous sites were open and we found #23. The most private site, next to the creek. The only catch is you have to haul your stuff down to the site from your vehicle, about 15 feet up and down. Definitely worth it. Campground host is very nice and helpful. $24/night.

Very beautiful campground. There are 33 sites, all of which are first come first served. The sites to the North are beside a road so you will hear some traffic on that side. On the south side there is a mighty rushing creek close by. The rushing creek is just beautiful. It makes a nice roar which you can easily hear from some of the south sites. Our kids loved playing down in the creek. On the south side there are also some very scenic views of the Twin Peaks and the creek. There are restrooms scattered throughout but there’s no running water anywhere. No power hookups but you can run your generator during the day, until 10 PM. The camp hosts (Bob & Carol) were very nice and helpful. They do a wonderful job of maintaining everything. If you’re coming on a weekend, make sure you pick a spot early because it can fill up very quickly in the afternoon.

Great stop for a week in our summer road tour. Camp host is super friendly and flexible. No running water so you'll have to bring your own in. It is right in between 82 and the river so there is some road noise but it settles down at night. The sites on the back side are definitely quieter. Twin Lakes is a sweet little town and really beautiful.
