This was the eighteenth and last night out on a 4000 mile journey in our truck camper...and was a perfect place to rest before the last leg home! Very clean...very friendly...and very reasonable price! The entire RV area was full of large shade trees. RV spots were easy in/out and the lake made a great place to walk our dogs. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again!!

We will NEVER go back to Pin Oak again! Their pool is absolutely disgusting!!! Don’t think it’s ever been cleaned since they opened it on Memorial Day maybe even last year! The bathrooms had an inch of water in them. So Saturday evening there was a band there. After they were done playing, they were still breaking down, my husband turned on our stereo… in the mean time a nice couple came over and sat with us and we started chatting. And here comes Loretta ( the manager) guns a blazing… telling us to turn it down that she was getting several phone calls that it was too loud!!!! There was nobody on either side of us, and behind us was a field! Jokingly my husband said… “ we will just turn it up after you leave” knowing he was joking, we all laughed. Loretta then said well you can pack up and leave now!!!! After knowing we had been drinking all day here is someone that is supposed to be in charge of everyone that is there, but is willing to risk our lives driving??? What kind of person does that??? We have spent a lot of money at Pin Oak! But not anymore. It’s more of a run down trailer park! Actually we were told by an employee that 90 percent of the people there live there! They don’t take care of the premises. And if you wanna hear noise, go to the playground at 11:30 at night, it’s packed with kids, yet Loretta wants to run out decent people, and keep the trash!!! What a shame. And I have been trying to contact RJourney, but no return call. Seams like they have an excuse for EVERYTHING!!!!!

I have written and posted and deleted this review over and over again. But I just cannot force myself to recommend this RV park. Sure it’s in a beautiful spot and it’s convenient to the highway and other locations but that is where the good stops. . There are tons of full-time campers they do not follow the rules about where to park vehicles or which way to drive up and down roads or posted speed limits or quiet hours multiple times during our trip we came in late at night after spending full days out in the area to find full timers having full-blown parties outside with loud music after quiet hours, By this point, we didn’t even bother going to the camp host because we knew they would do nothing. The full timers are situated throughout the park and are extremely unfriendly to guests who come in for vacation. We stayed for over a week And could not tell you anything about the host or the guest in this place other than that, they are unfriendly to such extent that we didn’t even utilize the pool. Additionally the management here could care less about anything but themselves. There is no hospitality. Have a concern about the driving habits of their full timers and the safety of your children don’t ask the office they don’t care they tell you you should keep your kid in a space that is next to your camper. That’s where my kid was when A full-time backed in and nearly hit them still, your office doesn’t care. Need recommendations for the local area don’t ask the office they don’t care example “not from the area and asked hey we’re going to be getting in kind of late. Can you let me know which exit has fast food places that may be open at 10 or 11 o’clock at night?” Response from your workers @I don’t know you should use your phone to find that out…”. Have equipment that you need to replace or repairs you need to make in your camper and looking for a recommendation for where to go, again don’t ask your camp host. They don’t know and don’t care. I say they don’t care because when you ask them they act like how dare you bother me with a question. For clarity, we stayed here for a family trip about a month ago and Before the management decides to reply and say they can’t find my name no I’m not going to share the name on the reservation with you. Because I have already elevated it to what passes for corporate for R Journey, And this review is just that a review so other people can know what to expect.

We booked for two nights and only stayed for one. Now, I will say all the staff were very pleasant, including Lorraine the manager. But as the sun was going down, we noticed a GIANT flood light covering a good portion of the campground near our spot. Once it was dark, well, you can see what we experienced. This flood light was WAY too bright. When we brought it to their attention, they said it was for kids who wanted to play basketball. I'm sorry, but this is a rv park/campground...not a basketball court. Mind you, definitely didn't see anyone playing basketball. But even if that's the case, find a light that illuminates the basketball court and not the entire camp area around it. The pool did not look very clean and the restrooms were hardly bearable to use. While the people were very nice, definitely won't be back. Oh and no refund on the night we didn't stay, which is understandable but unfortunate.

Increased billing rates 3 times within 6 months after I reserved a site for at least 3 months and prepaid partial. Even tried to charge me for electric when my camper was on-site for 2 weeks near the end of my stay, disconnected from power. Needless to say, that didn't get paid. Road noise from route 44 is horrible, crowded grounds with people constantly walking their dogs across the edge of other people's sites. Laundry rarely gets the coins emptied meaning you better plan to pay digitally. There are many "permanent" residents with crappy campers that many campgrounds would never allow that bring down the overall look. Water was out for the entire campground for a couple days. There were 2 county police officers on-site 1 day that wouldn't respond to anyone or tell the management why they were there. This is one of the most expensive campgrounds I've ever stayed at, for zero good reasons other than quick access to and from the highway. The local staff were excellent and pleasant and other than the hillbilly sites with things like laundry hanging outside to dry, and personal junk cluttering the area the campground was clean and well maintained. Wouldn't ever stay there again, and won't recommend it to anyone I actually like.

Very nice staff and easy place to stay with no problems with the large pull through site with full hook ups for our 45 foot coach with car dolly in tow. I would like to go back and stay when we have more time to see everything they have to offer.

I was recommended this place by a friend and checked it out and camped for the weekend. We had an amazing time and are impressed how clean the amenities are for a campground. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Stayed last month and are going again this weekend. I’m sure this will become a regular place we stay!

Although crowded, the park was nice. Clean bathrooms and laundry. $4 total for one load wash and dry. They do have you parked on top of each other. I could hear the neighbor sneeze. Convenient area. Lots of things for kids to do...play area with swings, pool, mini golf, fishing pond, etc

We are newbies to the RV life and checking different campgrounds around. This was our 2nd trip with our camper and this was such a great experience! The people working there were super friendly and extremely helpful! Check in was easy the lady at the desk was extremely helpful, super polite and always had a welcoming smile! The maintenance manager was super helpful getting us to our site. And helped answer a few questions we had on our camper. There were a lot of kids for our son to play with. We did everything the campground offered from Put put, the game room, golf cart rentals, playing on the play ground, and fishing! We had such an amazing time and met some amazing and fun people we will definitely be back!

Nice pretty campground, owners very nice. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Was disappointed in the size of the cabin for the price. I guess I just expected something different.

Just went there to visit a friend. The place looked crowded,but it seemed to be clean and quiet. Had nice playgrounds for the kids.

Formerly named Pin Oak Creek RV Park was sold to RJourney which won’t show a corporate address or way of contact if you have issues with them. We pulled in end of June 2021 and got a nice deal paying six months up front but was stuck with a 30amp back in space with no additional discount for flipping breakers every time the load could not handle our 40 foot 5th wheel that had 2 AC units. We moved to a 50amp space in December and although not sure how long we’d stay, we were talked into 4 more months with a promise from Chris the acting manager (former owner) that he’d credit us if we didn’t stay that long. Has dirt roads so you Truck gets dirty and dusty all the time. We felt the park was more for full timers since it had many old campers parked and look somewhat like a trailer park that was aging. You can also hear nearby I-44 freeway noise which can wake you early. So we felt the $600 a month was fair as it included electric. We pulled out early as we contract a house to live in and left the park on March 2, 2022 and the when talking to the office at the front desk sort to speak, Linsey turned into an itch with a B and said they won’t do refunds and Chris is gone now because they have new owners. Said it’s my space until April 27th but I dropped by March 14th and saw they rented my space and still won’t give me a refund. Now that itchy with a B woman said too bad, it’s our space to rent, you lose. So they pocketed almost 2 months of what I paid and is now also collecting on the same space. Rethink staying here!
