Pine Acres Blue Lake Resort
Overview
Pine Acres Blue Lake Resort offers a serene getaway along the shores of the spring-fed Blue Lake in Lake County. This destination is known for its crystal-clear waters and peaceful environment, largely due to the restriction of gasoline engines on the lake. It provides a classic camping experience where guests can enjoy nature without the noise of heavy boat traffic, making it a hidden gem for those seeking a quiet escape from the bustle of daily life.
Location & Surroundings
Tucked away in Upper Lake, California, the resort is surrounded by the lush landscapes of Northern California. The park sits at the base of rolling hills and offers direct access to the water. Its proximity to the Mendocino National Forest provides a dramatic backdrop and a sense of seclusion, while the winding roads leading to the park offer scenic vistas of the surrounding valley and local agricultural lands that define the region.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort features RV sites equipped with full hookups and level pads to accommodate various rig sizes. Visitors have access to a private beach, a boat launch for electric motors or kayaks, and a well-stocked on-site camp store that carries essentials and fishing gear. Additional facilities include clean restrooms, hot showers, and laundry services, ensuring a comfortable stay for both weekend travelers and seasonal guests looking for a long-term retreat by the water.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the resort's private beach, guests can explore the massive Clear Lake for larger boating excursions and world-class bass fishing. Hiking enthusiasts will find numerous trails within the nearby national forest, ranging from easy walks to challenging climbs. For a change of pace, the local Lake County wineries offer tasting rooms and scenic views just a short drive from the campground, highlighting the region's diverse agricultural heritage and providing excellent afternoon outings.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is ideal for families and retirees seeking a quiet waterfront retreat. Because gas-powered boats are prohibited on Blue Lake, it is particularly well-suited for those who enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and peaceful fishing for trout or bass. It serves as an excellent base camp for outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate the balance of lakefront relaxation and rugged mountain exploration in a friendly, family-oriented setting.

I literally was doing the happy dance when arriving for day use. The beach and the sectioned off swimming area exceeded my expectations Staff was fabulous and friendly so beautiful and green well maintained, wish i can stay a night or more. I absolutely can't wait to go again and already been sharing my experience

We just went for the day. Shade or sun, nice little beach, restrooms, grass area, picnic tables ...

Extremely rude manager and staff. Did not open on time, yelled at us for looking to see if we could launch a boat. Expected us to pay $18.00 for a 3 year old child. Will never give them our business again.

The manager...Tamara is awful, rude and uninviting. Spaces are cramped and you can't visit anyone for more than 5 minutes without her demanding you register for an ungodly amount of money. My friends said they'll never stay there again.. FYI news travels quickly in Lake County beware manager.
