I had a great off-season stay here for a week while visiting my daughter at Cornell, in Ithaca, which is a 25-minute drive away. The camp ground is surrounded by the Robert Treman State Park, which I didn't visit this time through but will next time. Since late October is off-season, most of the park was empty and the remaining travel trailers parked there were winterized and unoccupied so not surprisingly the park had a very empty feel to it. I can imagine it is hopping in the summer season. Charlotte was very responsive when I reached out about the spot and getting my empty propane tank filled (twice!). Jim was kind enough to pick the tank up from my site, fill it, and deliver it back to my doorstep. I'm looking forward to another visit next year when I come through again.

This campground has several things going for it and yes there is a “but” below. Its location to Ithaca, Corning, Watkins Glen, the Seneca and Cayuga wine trails is good. Ithaca is a few minutes away with all the food and beverage options you would want. I would say the vast majority of sites are seasonal campers. I met several who were pleasant and helpful . Many kids are in camp but all is quiet in the evening. Each weekend has a different event like Christmas in July and Halloween the first weekend in October. Large play areas are available for the kids and a good fenced area to take your dog. So high ratings on that, but I cannot understand why a good facility doesn’t update the restrooms. Others have posted they had but one of the two was open aired, no HVAC nor system to move air in the summer or block the cold breezes in the fall. Showers are old and feel like an old Boy Scout camp. Spider webs, bugs in lights, trash taken out but no other cleaning. I know this isn’t a high end campground but basics should never be overlooked. The pool was covered but is a fair size for an RV park and there is a community center for games and live music on some weekends. The staff is friendly but not deeply knowledgeable for things in the area. They do have two areas for laundry and yes one set washer/dryer is just outside the toilet as in one of the pictures. The other in the more modern area behind the community center which has 2/3 washer and dryers working. The hookups are close so easy to use. Sites are a good size but are not level. They are grass/dirt. Many seasonal campers have patios, fences, and other living areas created around their site. I have ATT and not good service here. The camp has a pay service which I used and was adequate. During the week most seasonal people disappeared so very quiet. While mostly clean, the camp does have a couple of “junk” piles that could be dealt with in a different way. To conclude, the stay was fine. Had all we needed but with a little effort this could be a great place to stay.

We stayed here for a few nights in one of the back cottages. It was super private and cozy. The cottage had a somewhat musty smell but it wasn’t terrible. The campground is spacious and booking was easy. We also had to change our reservation a few times and we were easily accommodated. The campground is also so close to all the awesome parks and hiking!

We spent two wonderful weeks at Pinecreek Campground and absolutely loved it! The location is ideal—just outside Ithaca, NY and close to hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes, and wineries. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and very family-friendly. There’s a beautiful swimming pool, weekend activities, and the bathrooms, showers, and laundry room are all updated and spotless. Our site had a shady tree, picnic table, and fire ring—everything we needed to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the seasonal campers made us feel right at home. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back!

We like it here. But be sure to have extra blocking as most aren't level. And extra long sewer hose, some sites are set up with drain in an odd place Lots to do from here as a base camp Sunsets are beautiful too
