Had a pleasant stay. Our only issue was finding our site a couple of times even with a map (and I consider myself a good navigator). Very spacious sites for most. Had hot showers for some quarters and they were reasonably clean, if dated a bit. Would say the higher price was worth the close proximity to the Plymouth historical visits. Take in Plimoth Patuxet Museums package if your able. Really enjoyed the village with dressed up era staff. Might mention the check in and front gate were well designed and helpful. Would stay again.

We visit this campground at least once a year. The facilities are basic but clean. The store is small and could use an expansion. The hall and games could use some updating. The sites are nice, spacious, and well maintained. I wish there were more activities offered/scheduled or outdoor sports for the whole family (shuffleboard, bocce ball, etc.). The new office and automatic gate were great additions. We'll still continue to go every year. It's also close to downtown Plymouth, which is nice.

This is a great campground if you want to be close to the historic sites in Plymouth, it is only about a five minute drive. Check-in was easy; you get a key card to access the gate. However, getting to my campsite in the rear of the property was quite confusing. The map that they give you looks real nice but it is not accurate at all. The streets on the map do not line up with the true streets. I would not like to show up in the dark. The camp store was nice and stocked with everything you would need. There is a big room where you can play board games or read a book, a pool table, air hockey and some other kid’s type of electronic games. It was a little bit of a pain doing laundry because there isn’t a change machine at the laundry facility. I went to the office in inquire and they sent me to the lodge. The machine only takes $1’s and $5’s. Once back at the laundry, the laundry machines performed well. The negatives I want to note about this location is there is a shooting range very close where they shoot large caliber ammo and it starts early and goes late. There is also an airport very nearby, so you will hear that. At the end of our stay, I used the dump and it could use some attention with the hoses, the two hoses available did not have usable ends on them in order to connect to flush. I did enjoy the great wi-fi. When I saw that I was camping in a pretty isolated spot toward the back, I thought the wi-fi wouldn’t be that good but it actually was.

We tented here and loved it! The site was large, wooded, private. We heard the gun shots from the near by range on Friday night, but they were over by 8pm. Saturday we heard only a couple. We didn't find it bothersome at all. There was the occasional low flying plane as well from the airport, but again, nothing detrimental to our experience. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, but they were quite far from our site unfortunately. Store and bathrooms are located up a STEEP hill. Very do-able, but important to note if you have a stroller, wagon, or have a disability. The snack shack, live music, clean pond and beach, ice cream window. They have it all and it was really well done! We didn't have to leave once. Highly recommend and will be back!

Pinewood Lodge is the nicest campground in Massachusetts. Jody is extremely friendly and helpful. There is great fishing in their lake. And surprise, Jack is available for winterizing, summerizing, and general maintainance on campers while you camp there. It's clean, especially the bathroom facilities. 10 Stars for Pinewood Lodge!

The family run campground is beautiful. Well maintained, immaculate facilities and very friendly & helpful staff. Many types of sites to choose and all are either water & electric or full hook up yet, many sites are private & setback surrounded by wooded area or open with lots of space to expand. We were so very happy with our experience, we booked a week for next season before we left. The pristine lake beach for swimming catch & release fishing & boating (rentals available) is breathtaking. Courteous & respectful campers.

We loved it! Nestled in the pines, quiet, quaint. Clean kitchen, bathroom and linens provided. Friendly and helpful staff. Our tiny house was comfortable and cozy. Just right for my husband and I as we wanted a romantic stay in order to attend King Richards faire. We loved it! Thank you!

First timer here....I will also say before I wrote my review I did read previous reviews as I usually do when choosing destinations. My family had a great time the campground does have rules but nothing too unfair....I will say if your looking to party all night this isn't the place. It does seem some people may live here year round so I get it. Fires are asked to be out at midnight and quiet hours begin at 10. Being a family with 4 kids 10 and under this was not a problem for us šŸ¤£šŸ˜‰ No one harrased us like stated in previous reviews which I was thankful for so that problem seems to have been rectified?. We did see security patrolling which doesn't hurt. But we're never approached. We stayed in the cottage 3 kids slept in the screenhouse in sleeping bags with plenty of space to spare (they've never been camping in tents this was a test) baby and 2 adults slept inside with playpen and still plenty of room! Cute cottage a few ants in the cottage but it's a campground what do you expect, great morning view šŸ˜ I will say only downsides are it's a pond not a lake and past the swimming areas is weedy which can be pesky when fishing. Other than that I'm impressed close to Plymouth sites close to Market Basket to grab any food or necessities. Didn't see much staff other than check in and the store, all were helpful and friendly. Not much going on as far as activities at camp during the week but had sightseeing to do anyway they did have plenty of boards displaying upcoming weekend events.

Our favorite campground! Clean and roomy sites. Exceptionally well maintained grounds and facilities. Friendly staff. No other campground in the area can compare.
