Off the beaten trail you will pull upon a beautiful hidden gem for those of us who love RV camping. Camping sites right on the beautiful rolling waters of the Piney River. Quiet. Private. Restful…and fun activity kayaking, canoeing or floating the river. Wow, Looking up at night to see God’s creations….. a sky full of constellations and beauty….You will ENJOY!

Can't say enough about this place. It is a beautiful area with plenty to do for the outdoors type. The people working the place are nice as can be and have done everything thing in their power to make sure our stay is as pleasant and relaxing as possible. We did have a flash flood one morning with about 20 minutes to pack up and move. They did everything they could to help get everyone out of the danger area and moved to a safer spot with no injuries and no loss of property. They didn't even charge extra for the added adventure. If you choose a riverside site, make sure you know your rig well enough to move on a moments notice. My wife and I are recently full-time rv living and so far this place is definitely one of our favorites. We will be back anytime we are in this area. The pictures are some of the views we've had from our porch during our stay.

We had a great stay at Piney River. Our site was very nice and the campground was very quiet. They were still cleaning up from a flood but were very accommodating and friendly staff. The swimming hole in the river was awesome. Our kids spent hours playing along the shore and in the water. Will definitely be back if we come back through this area!

We had a wonderful time at Piney River Resort. We reserved one of their tiny homes, the farmhouse, and it was beautiful. The sheets were soft, beds were comfortable, they had several kitchen things that we needed to cook dinner which was so nice, they even had k-cups for coffee. The river was close to the house, our kids played in the water all day. We definitely will have to come back and I'd even come back with our camper. The managers were lovely to work with and they provided firewood for the tiny homes which was so nice.

I so would’ve given this place 5 stars. But unfortunately I can’t, due to the fact that our electricity was out for 5 hours. Thank God my parents were also camping at the time. Because having to stay in a camper with 3 kids and a dog, in the heat of July with NO AIR would’ve been miserable. Luckily we could hang our in their camper and swim in the perfect spring fed water a lot! I completely understand that things happen and I would’ve not even mentioned this, but we didn’t even get an apology for the inconvenience. We stayed in campsite 8 and it would’ve perfect if it wasn’t for that mishap. I would still recommend this place to someone but not sure if we will return. I am huge fan on customer service and unfortunately we didn’t get that. I would’ve LOVED for them to reach out. But over all we had a good stay! If you decide to go, Just make sure you get sites 1-12 (the waterfront ones) UPDATE: The owner actually did reach out and apparently had no idea our power ever even went out. So if you have any issue just make you go to him or the manger! (Also has no idea there was even a manger there) But he definitely went above and beyond to fix it!
