It's great local campground with water and electric hookups right on the shore of Lake Michigan.

The location is fantastic, right on a beautiful, sandy beach. The park itself is just okay. The electric and water hook ups can be 50ft or more away from your trailer. Be sure to have extension cords along! The bath houses need updating and the WiFi only works if you are by the ranger station so working remotely from this park is a no go unless you have your own satellite hook up. The sites are a decent size, and it's a fairly quiet park. If they did some upgrades it would be a great place, as is, we won't be back.

The park is beautiful, and the beach on Lake Michigan is great. The campground is quiet except for the dogs on site 10 that wouldn't quit barking. Many times, they were left unattended.

My family and I had an awesome time!!! We left another campsite close by that wasn't what we expected and just lucked up on this county park. The kind young staff at Pioneer found a lovely site for us to camp for four nights. We are so grateful and will definitely make our way back. Thank you so much Pioneer County Park Staff!!
