*Beware* Website is misleading making you think there isn't many cabins left. We booked a week stay to just show up to a ghost resort. We literally were the only ones there when the website made me think there was only two cabins left to rent. I pulled my boat 1,500 miles one way to find out the water was dangerous low and caused damage to my drives. We wanted to leave early and asked for a two night refund, the broke resort declined our refund. Let's move on to the cabins that are way over priced for what they are. AC barley worked. We had to go buy cooking pans because the ones they provided everything stuck to. We had to go shopping because nothing was open at the ghost resort. The grill they provided is an electric garbage. The beds are not great. The toilets are made for little kids.We were woken up by the noise of chain saws at 7am. I'm very disappointed in my 3k miles round trip. This review is 100% true and I recommend not coming to this place.

Pirates cove is always a great time. We love Camping right on the colorado River with sandy beaches. Then heading down river to the rope swing and pulling the kids on the tube. We have a place we have dubbed. Maui's Island and the kids love it. Pack the ice chest, load up the boat and head on out to Pirates cove. Enjoy the Bar and restaurant, then head over to the general store and don't forget the fuel dock. If you don't like being right on the river there are rv sites next to the check in office.

The RV spots near the water is the way to go! The staff are friendly and helpful especially in situations dealing with a crazy Karen who pulled up with their RV demanding we move because we were supposedly in the wrong spot. The helpful staff politely explained to Karen how she was wrong and she continued to argue and tell everyone around her how everyone else was wrong; the typical expected Karen behavior you'd come to expect these days. Props to the staff for their patience with that person and couldn't be happier they ended up moving spots or hopefully leaving for everyone's sake. It worked out that we didn't have to be next to such an unhappy person. Other than a rocky start (dang Karen!), we all had a great time at the river. See you next year!!!

We have been there a couple of times and though we’ve have had a good time both times, August is too hot to be there and October is a little too cool to enjoy the water. Next time we will be there in September to enjoy both the weather and water.

This is such a great place to have weekend get away. The RV spots on the beach is where we stayed. The restaurant and the bar is awesome and the party beach is blast. Our only complaint is that the zip line and other fun things were not open. The restaurant closes to early. The free shuttle back to the RV site is so helpful. I would definitely come stay here again.

Didn't stay in a room but the spots are nice and along the river. Gas is expensive if you go to the floating station- we found it worth it to go out in town to fill up when needed.

For four years, we have taken a trip here every year and we absolutely love it. We stay right on the river in our RV, bring our ATVs and fish. It's perfect and we'll maintained. Lake Havasu is about 30 mins. away and is nice to visit too.

We stayed on one of the Peninsula Campgrounds during “Desert Storm” for a few days. Was our first time out there. Although it isn’t perfect and the weather was pretty bad due to constant wind, we had an excellent time! It truly is a one of a kind experience. We enjoyed our camp site; power, sewer and water were reliable. People were friendly. We even ventured into the cove to try some of the drinks and food, which was all very good. They even had a dog menu. We will definitely be back, and looking forward to it!

The Family had a blast! One of the nicest places to spend a weekend on the Colorado River. We took the beach front cabin and it was the best choice ever. Recommended to try and rent all four cabins if friends/family are joining. The staff is very welcoming, very easy to unload a boat/Jetski and this is amazing for a family/friends weekend.

Beautiful with a Campsite looking out over the Colorado River. Lots of boat and Quad activity and was treated to a Ultra Light fly by. Restaurant was acceptable (off season).

This review is regarding the RV park and the restaurant on site. We arrived a little before dark on a Thursday night to our peninsula site with full hookups. It was our first time here and we were tired from a long day of driving and anxious to get set up before dark. At the check in the gal insisted on reading to me the pages of rules and regulations that I had read already acknowleged and received by email with the reservation which was annoying. The park was mostly deserted and empty I guess because it is off season. There was no lighting on the roads in the park and it got dark fast. It appeared that about half the sites were permanent manufactured homes and it looked run down. Roads inside the park were not well maintained and rough. Not what I was expecting for a high rated Good Sam Member. Cost was overpriced at $63 a night( w discount )with additional hidden fees added of utility fee of $10 a day, resort fee of $20, lease fee $17.43 and reservation fee of $10 it adds up. We had dinner at the restaurant and we were the only customers and ordered chicken dinner with no sides ($27) and split a chef salad and had a $15 rum and coke which was exhorbitant charges for what you get. Service was good once we found someone come out of the kitchen to wait on us. We left a day early as we were meeting friends in Parker and got a site at Pirate's Den RV park for the reminder of the stay which was much more reasonable.Probably won't return here or recommend to friends.

Great place if you ride OHV's. The beach by the restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant is a little pricey but the staff is great. The campsites on the peninsula are great, the other campsites are a parking lot, not so great. Overall we had a fun time.

We got there after hours and check in was longer than any other check in we've ever done. They put us down on the peninsula which was pretty but our vehicle would not have been able to get out of the sand. When we went back up to ask for a different site, the guy made us wait for other to check in, which was over 20 minutes. We asked to just park in one of the many empty sites and he refused to let us do that saying he had to check for available sites. Check in would be much easier if they had online options. We ended up not staying without even getting a refund.

Stayed out on the peninsula. It was a ton of fun. Quiet to the party we were with. Absolutely no issues with the stay. We did not eat at the restaurant but did see the menu. Extremely pricey and every item is ALA carte. Already planning my next trip down next year over the long weekend.

This place is pretty cool. I stopped by here years ago so when we decided to spontaneously go out of town in January I picked this spot. The resort was very expensive. Drinks are 20 bucks at the bar. Camping was 100-120 a night etc. I guess I could look past that but my worst experience was with the front office staff. The young lady was really a grouch. She even had the nerve to say "oh you're finally leaving huh? When we left. I can't believe a customer service rep would say that to a customer. She's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars.
