Our scout troop stayed over a weekend after Labor Day. We had a great time and enjoyed the amenities that the resort had to offer. The staff was top-notch. The scouts gave the arcade/food court high marks. The camp store is well stocked and very nice. Both scouts and leaders enjoyed all that the pool area had to offer. The only "cons" that our scouts mentioned were that putt-putt cost extra ($4 per person) and there were no bikes available for use. Overall, we can't wait to come back to this location soon.

We stayed here in an RV for five nights. We found a place to be incredible! We stayed on an oceanfront spot. The beach was literally 30 yards away.. The beach was beautiful! Everyone was very friendly that we dealt with! The lazy river was very nice and relaxing! I have nothing to complain about. I would definitely come back here again.!

We had a blast at this beachfront campground! The views were beautiful, and there were tons of amenities for the kids—playgrounds, activities, and easy access to the beach kept them entertained all day. The site was clean and well-maintained. Just a couple of minor things that could be improved, but overall a fantastic family getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

This week was our first and last time here. Trash pickup isn’t until Noon, after the birds have made a mess of it. Camping spots are terribly tight. Don’t forget all the kids driving golf carts about to have accidents. One important thing to note is you WILL NOT sleep before 10:30pm or 11pm at best. Tonight people were shooting fireworks and the golf carts parade with everyone playing their music as loud as possible. Now if you’re a teenager this would be great driving around with your friends. If your a down home, wanting to sleep in peace parent I would look elsewhere. We will not come back, rather drive the extra 2-3hrs and stay at the OBX. It’s like there are no rules here, anything goes. The pools and putt putt area seem nice but technically owned by Carolina Shores. Staff was also friendly. Bathrooms are pretty well kept as well. I believe if they reduced attendance by 25% and enforced the rules and dropped the quiet time to 9pm or 10pm it would be better since this is an ideal location.

This place was absolutely amazing!! My family loved it here, we only stayed 4 days and regret not staying longer. Our campsite was steps away from the beach and seemingly perfect. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Check in was easy we found our site and backed right in and set up camp. The pool was awesome, the kids loved the lazy river and pirate ship play area. We never even got to make it to play mini golf or the arcade room. We had so much fun and will plan to rent a golf cart next time because this park is huge! We will definitely be coming back, I highly recommend for a family or couple vacation, you will not be disappointed!

Have been coming to Pirateland at least once a year for 20 years except during covid. Our kids always loved it and now it is just my wife and I. Weather wasn't great but we made the best of our 2 wks.

I have not stayed here in a few years. The ocean and lake sites had grass when i was here last. But people have detroyed any chance of grass with wall to wall mats everywhere. One site use actual carpet and left it when they went home. The place has litter in the lakes as well as trash all over the place. Not as nice as i remember it. I would suggest a security deposit from now on to help with clean up when people leave their carpets and trash or damage the grass. We use to have to watch out for the teens on the golf carts but now there are the electric scooters and bikes wizzing by out of control. People walking through your site and very little camper étiquette being taught to the children. Between cigarette butts and trash i spent a half hour cleaning up our site even found broken glass. It appears to me things are out of control. I pray they can turn this around and regain their position as one on the nicest parks on the south end of Myrtle Beach.

Just spent two nights at Pirateland. Great amenities and location. Check-in was fast and easy, staff was very friendly. Food trailers on site were a plus and great fast food. Three stars were given due to a couple things. Sites are right on top of one another. There is very little space between units. Second, Golf carts are literally like ants swarming everywhere.. Speed limit is 10MPH which is great for a campground with kids, however most carts are going slower than that, I had to ride my brakes through the campground because golf carts are going slower than my vehicle idles, Except at night when they fly through the campground with stereos blaring. Lastly, the site behind us had 8, yes 8 yappy dogs that were incessant. They barked at everything and nothing at all. We didn't complain because we love dogs, but this was a very poor dog owner that was at the site and allowed it to continue.

After driving 13 hours, this was extremely disappointing. The lots are dirt lots and super tiny. To top it off, it had just rained and the lot was a shallow pond of red mud. I don't know how you're supposed to level your RV in these uneven muddy watery spaces We didn't even stay. We cancelled without having another place to go. The staff was accommodating about cancelling. When we made reservation we were not told the lots were just dirt. It did not delineate this online either. ☹️

Amazing dream of a vacation! This is our first RV cross-country trip And we were attracted to the name alone just because we have young kids.This place does not let down! Everything is well done and well maintained. The Putt-Putt course is lovely, the outdoor pool, lazy river, and pirate splash zone is super fabulous, and the ocean is a hop, skip and a jump away. Definitely want to come back, and there is so much fun stuff to do in the area. Do it!!
