Just stopped by for current information on the recreational opportunities in Pisgah and to replace my hat. The staff, Amanda, was simply fantastic in her depth of knowledge of the area. Her advise was perfectly tailored to our goals and situation. Also I was able to purchase a new hat to replace the one i got here six years earlier. My review six years ago Good location and staff, knowledgeable and friendly.

I have been trying to get a park pass. Both times that I stopped during their business hours the only person who could do it was not at work (good reasons both times). I am giving a poor review because there were other people in the office. Why not cross train some personnel to do the public facing work? Why make the public multiple trips?

Ranger absolutely refused to let us leave without downloading the Avenza maps app, which may have quite literally saved our lives since we got caught out in a storm and the trail washed out pretty badly. Wish they had more actual stickers instead of magnets- we've got quite a park collection built up but we didn't see any for them specifically.
