Small and quiet campground. Had plenty of grassy area and toys for small kids to play with. We never saw an employee but they had a map ready for us when we arrived and the sites were labeled. River access and saw lots of deer

A little ways off the interstate but worth the effort. The camp is a work in progress, the new owners are busy making improvements and it shows. We spent a restful night there and even though it was quite wet from rain we had no problems.

Stayed here in a tent as I went on a Paleontology dig with the nearby museum. It was great, on par with some of the better State Park campgrounds . The location for the tents was good with a lot of nice shade and a great view of the Platte as well as the stars at night. The bathroom for the campground were pit toilets but the one I used was still well taken care of and clean. You can hear the highway and trains but that is not something that can be changed and the trains do not tend to blow their whistle near by so you can easily ignore them. Overall it was a very good place to camp and I would do it again given that it's probably better than many hotels I've stayed in.
