I will NEVER go camping again at Pleasant Hill Camp ground very rude and disrespectful people. Pleasant Hill Campground is owned by the same person who owns Charles Mill Marina Bob Schaefer. Both campgrounds are like retirement villages for RVs or people with money 💰 and that have seasonal passes. Eddie Butler and I cut our camping trip short and came home to night. We had a KAREN next to us call the park ranger on us b/c our dogs where not on a leash but where staying where they needed to be but then seen another dog and went to say hi. So this Morning 🌄 we decided to take the girls back home and we felt like it was NOT fair to them. We felt bad and were not having fun or happy because we missed our babies. Our dogs have NEVER been on a leash and NEVER will be on a leash. Our dogs a very well behaved and trained.

Met friends to go boating and got rained out. We went to Mohican Lodge to enjoy the lodge, getting out of the rain. We then had supper there. The food was great. They were very short-staffed, but they worked hard and made the experience enjoyable!

I went there by myself to swim on a hot day. The beach is wide and the park is well maintained with a lot of grass and trees. There is a floating water-play complex that is next to the cordoned-off swimming area. You have to pay a fee to use that, but I just swam in the regular area. There were about 20 families or so, and lots of parking and some picnic tables and restrooms nearby. The campground itself is large and quite beautiful, with a modest camp store and there were kids doing a camp activity and others down on the beach. The beach is skirted by a pretty big marina with a lot of pontoons. On the hill above overlooking is a concert area with a bandstand trailer. The sand is dark and kind of construction grade, but it was clean, neat, and peaceful. The water is pretty murky, but mostly smooth and sandy underfoot.

We rent a cabin at Pleasant Hill Lake every year. We have also docked our boat here several years. The staff is very friendly and each year the grounds and facilities are upgraded.

We had an absolutely five star camping weekend!! We camped in area G which is brand new and in great condition. The electrical is all up to code and proper breakers and outlet receptacles are available for 15/20, 30, and 50 amp service. Water is clean and clear and has a pretty neutral taste. There were four individual showers available for our area with a little trickle of otherwise very hot water in well kept stalls. The beach by area G was nice and clean and offered a refreshing cool off from the afternoon heat. There wasn't any ice available for purchase but the store right down the road had some. It was a surprisingly quiet weekend but it was still early in the season. As a bonus, we picked up a few bags of trash around the campground to get a couple free nights!! We'll be happy to come back again!!

I reserved a cabin for 3 nights. Upon arrival, we were early. No issues there and they allowed us to get the key. Upon entering the cabin we were all blown away. It was a beautiful cabin, well built ,and beautifully decorated. Well stocked with towels, toilet paper and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked except the can opener was faulty and no baking sheets (cinnamon rolls were a no go) but other then explaining that to the kiddos, we survived...haha! Hot tub was perfect and a great distraction to the poor weather. The lake was beautiful and we walked alot of the property. We tried to fish but it was very windy and cold. All in all a great spot for a weekend get away. I'm sure in the summer months the this is a hot spot. Thanks for a nice stay.

Called for a site with full hookup and was assured they had plenty. Upon arriving the water wasn't on and found out later that it wont be on for another month.

Beautiful campground! We parked our RV for a month on a paved even spot. Trails are great to exercise. We didn't use the beach but it's looks great. Weekends are packed but not crazy. Only cons for us are there is no Wi-Fi and it's far from our family. We chose this campground because they have 50% discount for 100% disable veterans.

Very clean, quiet campground! Bathrooms were clean and everyone was super nice. The lake was great for fishing but a little gross for swimming. But all and all, one of the nicest campgrounds I’ve ever been to!
