Pleasant Lake Campground offers a tranquil retreat for travelers seeking a classic camping experience in the heart of Central New York. This family-owned destination is centered around a beautiful private lake access, providing a serene backdrop for RVers and tent campers alike. Situated in the quiet community of Pennellville, New York, the campground is surrounded by scenic woodlands and lush greenery. Its location in Oswego County provides a peaceful rural setting while remaining within a short drive of major metropolitan areas. The landscape is defined by the clear waters of Pleasant Lake, which serves as the centerpiece of the property. This Central New York location is ideal for those who enjoy rolling hills, fresh air, and the quiet sounds of the countryside.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped to handle modern RVs with a variety of full hookup sites that include water, sewer, and electric services. For guest convenience, the grounds feature clean bathhouses, a laundry facility, and a dedicated camp store for essentials. Recreational amenities are plentiful, including a playground for children, a basketball court, and a large pavilion for group gatherings. One of the highlights is the availability of boat rentals, allowing guests to explore the lake at their own pace without bringing their own watercraft.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do without ever leaving the property, specifically fishing and swimming in the well-stocked lake. However, those looking to explore the region will find that Pennellville is a gateway to diverse experiences. The park is located near Syracuse attractions, such as the New York State Fairgrounds and Destiny USA. Additionally, the world-class fishing of Lake Ontario and the recreational opportunities of Oneida Lake are just a short drive away, making this a perfect base camp for regional exploration.

Shady, rustic, very pleasant staff! We had a great time! Honestly, we're considering a seasonal site next year. This is the first campground we've considered for this. Some reviews say they're too strict with the 5mph speed limit but we had no problems keeping under that. We have a two year old that likes to run, and there were several other children there, so, yeah, mind the speed limit...

Awesome spot close to everything. I brought a smaller camper with my wife, 4 year old and 2 small dogs. Stayed in a great spot overlooking "the field" which was also close to the playground. My son was out playing with other kids our entire stay. This weekends entertainment was painting a birdhouse and water balloons. Both of which were a lot of fun. My son really enjoyed it. The owners were great with the kids. We will be back.

Love this place!!! We rent all 3 cabins for a week once a year (one year we went twice). My in-laws come too. We love the short walk to the water, the ability to fish, kayak, swim, take nature walks is awesome AND the playground is literally positioned in the back yard of the cabins. The bathrooms are right next to the park. Taking a break from the busy demands of life but still having the convenience of WiFi and camp store is awesome! The camp store has cans of soda, s’mores ingredients, liter fluid, wood, ice, bubbles, flashlights, first-aid items, batteries, and so much more. The owners are a super friendly husband and wife and their adult son is always so hospitable and helpful! The wife has many beautiful gardens! They also have chickens and roosters that the kids enjoy watching! If I had to give cons- they have had a bee problem for the past 2 years BUT they are carpenter bees… which males don’t sting and females will only stk g if provoked. Secondly, this year my 12 month old daughter and I suffered nasty spider bites. But we ARE in the woods… this to some level is to be expected.

Always a great time at Pleasant Lake. Beautiful area, small lake so you don't need to worry about boat traffic, very friendly people, great fishing, kayaking, etc. Have stayed in tents mostly but also used a cabin in the past. We made the best of it depsite the rain. They have a little something for everyone. We will definitely be returning!

The staff is very accommodating and helped make sure we had the environment around us we were looking for. There were many kids, and our girls had a blast during their crafts and water balloon event. It made the weekend go great! Our campsite was priced well, and we had everything we needed. A slight drawback was the bathrooms, but the blame mainly falls on the campers that don't show courtesy in how they use it. We do highly recommend this as a family getaway that is not too far off the beaten path.
