We stayed here for 4 days recently but would have stayed longer if we'd had the time. The camp itself seem to be well organized and running well. It was a clean camp and the views were spectacular. We were able to have a campsite that backed up to the Arkansas River. Sitting outside and looking at the river and glancing up and seeing snow cap mountains was such a grand picture. If we are ever in that area again this will be our number one stop.

The sites directly on the river have a view you only see in pictures. Truly beautiful scenery. Be sure you bring plenty of ice and propane because you won't get any here. Also, no trash can at the dog park and the only place to throw anything away is in their dumpsters on the far end of the property. The staff is nice and the property is beautiful but that's about all they have going.

We stayed here during our very first RV trip, and this campground is exactly what you’d imagine for a romantic RV experience. It’s off the beaten path - calm, peaceful, with respectful campers around you. There’s a cute playground our kids loved, a little gift shop, plenty of space between RVs, and lots of shade and tranquility with the river close by. We absolutely loved our short stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. It was the best RV camp spot we’ve visited during our family adventure. Thanks for the memories - we’ll be back!

My wife and I stayed for two nights in the Airstream Airbnb. It was an unbelievable experience… the Airstream was perfect inside- extremely clean, spacious and modern. We’ve owned two campers and have been in several others but this one was honestly the nicest trailer I’ve ever been inside, we are already shopping for our own like it! The staff was nice and accommodating, the scenery was beautiful and it was close enough to the things we wanted to do in the area. We had no issues with WiFi but maybe it varies by your carrier? I would recommend this place and stay there again without hesitation!

We absolutely love everything about Pleasant Valley RV Park- the people, services, RV spots and especially the location. I woke up every morning to those gorgeous peaks. We ended up extending our stay. My husband caught fish and I had a fun day shopping in nearby Salida. Eddie and his crew go above and beyond to make this a very special experience for all.

Truly a hidden gem located just outside of Salida, Co in Howard. Was totally impressed with the hosts, hospitality, views and overall amenities at an RV park. Every site is easy access and all sites located on the river. A must site for fishers, families, dog people and water lovers.

If you are on the road traveling and looking for a campground with beautiful trees, right on the Arkansas River, beautiful up front views of the mountains, so very peaceful and quiet and all the amenities that you would need!! The new owners are doing a wonderful job and we loved our camp host Paula and her trusty sidekick Gracie!!!! Paula was so friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back!! You can fish from your campsite!!!

I made reservations for an RV spot and had to cancel. I clicked on cancel reservation option and was taken to a place to message Pleasant Valley RV Park. I did not get a response so I called left a message and sent an email. Still did hear back from message, email or voicemail. so I called away left another message and even said I would be willing to change the dates. Never got a response. I got an email after the weekend I reserved thanking me for staying with them! I will never do business with this place ever!

What an amazing r v park talk about a hidden gem. They have all the amenities you would ever need. It's nice and quiet. The views are phenomenal and at nightt the stars are so bright. Not a lot of light pollution around here. Freaking, amazing. This is definitely a vacation Destination the river is right here. Fisherman's paradise for sure. I cannot believe I did not know about this place sooner. Sedalia is right up the road with lots of shopping and restaurant options. It is under new ownership. I guess they just bought the place and they're making a ton of improvements. So it's even gonna be better than it is now, which is hard to believe Because this place is freaking awesome right now.

Hard to rate this one. Park is Quiet, Clean and Located on the River. However, due to staffing and Season it was sometimes hard to get help. Also, it would have been good to know that all facilities were closed for Season. I have no doubt this Park will be perfect in Sept/Oct.

I’d give this place 4.5 stars, I personally found the hosts/owners very hospitable, the lady at the front desk was very nice and even told us about some local hiking and driving trails nearby, her husband escorted us to our spot and even helped me back in, sure there are some modern conveniences that could be improved upon, the lack of wifi at all the spots is not ideal, but the brown building in the middle does have good wifi, so you can at least go there to check weather and emails. The scenery surrounding this place is amazing, we were in spot 7 and had the river and huge mountain peaks right out of our front door. One other suggestion to the owners, is be careful of weather temps and the automatic sprinklers for the grass at each spot, one of our nights there the temp got down to 26, when I opened the door the sprinkler had sprayed onto our steps and froze, luckily I saw the ice before stepping out. Overall we had a great time, very peaceful and relaxing.

I cannot recommend this park. This area is one of my favorites in Colorado but surely there is a better place. I am adding a note that I am writing this review 6 months after our stay as I wanted to have other experiences to compare our time at Pleasant Valley. Here's are reasons why I would not recommend or go back: 1. Wifi is non-existent. You can "check" your email but certainly don't try to open or view it. 2. Only cell coverage is AT&T 3. One of most expensive places we've stayed. And keep an eye on your deposit. This is the only park that did NOT apply our deposit towards our monthly amount and then charge us electricity after. Be sure to check you get refunded your deposit afterwards. To be extremely clear - we were refunded but had to call 3 weeks after our departure date to get a receipt and track the refund. 4. There are about 20 signs reminding you to pick up after your dog and ZERO trash cans in common areas. 5. Management - while I can't remember what Nicole (owner/manager) said when we were checking me in but I vividly remember thinking "oh - you're one of those." PLEASE read other reviews to validate. My husband went to town for a few supplies and he hadn't gotten out of his truck before she was all over him about moving it. And don't you dare put anything the grass area next to your spot.

We stayed for 10 days in October of 2020. We enjoyed it so much that we spent 3 months this summer. Beautiful campground with lots of shade trees, right on the Arkansas River. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. There is no one like Charlie to get large RVs into their site!! The campground is well maintained with an area of grass for each site. Really enjoyed our summer... Hated to leave.

Lovely, well maintained location on the river. Lots of shade, a playground for the kids and a dog park. My husband and I stayed in the cabin while our son and his family had a space for their RV. We were greeted, directed to our spots and treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality. The cabin was way more then we expected- spacious and comfortable. Thank you so much for the thought and effort you put in to make this such an oasis! May the baby chicks do well and may you have a great summer.
