Great distance from the site to the water. Site #23. FYI no flat land for a tent it does have a slight slope, but saw some that are much worse. Portable water every few sites which was nice (directly across from our site). Patty the camp host was super nice and informative. As it was our first time here. Showers was good (takes quarters). Not very crowded so we were able to leave our beach/water stuff by the water overnight (of course tied down). Bears were active but no issues. Will definitely be back. And next time I know exactly which site is perfect for a tent.

Great place got a weekend trip. There are reserve sites and first come sites. Camp host was friendly and helpful.

Always love camping here, just a short drive North of reno. Campsites are usually pretty clean, restrooms arent the cleanest but better than some. No bear boxes which is weird, there was an active bear out when we were there. No electrical or sewer hookups so bring your generator if you want power. Showers by the honker boat launch are decent also. The reason for 4 stars is no bear boxes and the hosts dont update site reservations very well. Other than that, some great camping, fishing, and a beautiful lake

I absolutely enjoyed my time out there. It's pretty close to the lake itself. There were Eagles nests and deer roaming around. However, be vigilant as the bears were very active this season. Our family lost a good amount breakfast burritos, tritip, and a cake. Frank (the name we gave the bear) is able to get into latched coolers. Very smart.

Really liked the campground. Nice spots spread pretty far apart. No mosquitoes mid July. However, camp host Roeann is about the most unpleasant person I have ever met in my life and clearly the worst camp “host” I have ever encountered. We already shared our concerns with her boss who acknowledged she’s quite difficult. We’ll be working on getting her removed .

Great! We did the first come first serve campsites and it felt like old school camping again. Always a great that rec.gov hasn't tried to control that. Not everyone can plan months ahead and have it work. We just decided to go and it worked out great. I've been going to lake Davis for 40+ years and never needed to have reservations and that site is horrible. Most of the reserve sites were still empty all weekend rec.gov needs to go!!

Nice campground. Some reservable sites, mostly first come, first served. Not much ranger/host presence. Verizon cell service was spotty (mostly non-existent, but as many as three bars in some areas). Some nice beach areas, boat ramp available nearby. No dump station in the campground but there is one nearby that serves 3 area campgrounds. Too busy so we ended up going to Bordertown RV Park to use theirs.

Had an amazing time and weekend. Racoons stole our food. Woops! Make sure to lock it all up. Bugs were intense at night. Bathrooms were clean but didnt have soap so pack some!

This is a really nice campground ⛺️ both for tents and for RVs right by the lake. Some spots are a little smaller and closer together than others. Make sure to call ahead during the busy time of year.
