The Lakes Basin Recreation Area is a nice area for hiking and recreation near the Sierra Buttes. The area has multiple hiking trails and campgrounds as well as numerous lakes and incredible scenery. A great place to get outdoors!

Always go to Elwell Lakes Lodge in the area. The most wonderful place in the world. Many stunning glacial lakes. The camping area seems nice also.
