Amazing group campground. Fyi, no bear boxes. Bathrooms were very well cared for. Forest Service checked out 👍. Camp host was friendly and knowledgeable. Take shade if its going to be hot. Can run to Portola for supplies.

Great campground right by the lake. A little buggy and the camp host wasn't super attentive.

Beautiful area, but low lake level limits some activities..

It's a short walk to the lake and would have given 5 stars but it's not as good of a location as Grizzly and Grasshopper camp spot cause they are right next to the lake. Great views of the mountains and bird watching is awesome. Plenty of sites to choose from. Also people are more chill and respectful of others than the other 2 campgrounds which is nice. I only camp here when it's cold and free.

Nice, quiet area. The host keeps a very good eye on things. Wish the lake was closer, but its a nice walk. Its low this your, 2020, so to much algy in some spots to swim, but great swimming by the dock. Very peaceful!

Best camping ground we have been to in years! Super clean! I was so impressed with how well these grounds are taken care of. Vault toilets that weren't disgusting. They are cleaned and stocked everyday. No scary bugs or tons of spiderweb. Huge spaces. These pictures are from all angels around my site and the campground was full. The campsite next to us was far enough away to not be able to hear our generator. Finally, a place to stretch out. I could see the lake from my camper, and across from our spot was an open meadow. There are so many deer here. Be careful on the drive, as the last count on my most recent drive was 20. You can get to town in about 20 mins to stock on ice or even go out to pizza. Coot Cove is a great free day access to the lake if for some reason you don't take the trail from the site to the shore. Clearly this site isn't all about making money and is all about the scenery. The camp hosts were very friendly. We feel like we've uncovered a hidden gem and can't wait to make it a family tradition to come here often. One of our very best camping experiences!

This is a great little campground by the lake, it has 40 sites about half are also double sites big enough for two tents and not cars. We spent two night here camping and it was great 👍 clean pit toilets that always had towel paper 🧻 all thanks the Mr. Ron the site manger. He is a great guy with lots of great info, make sure to stop in and say hello or he will come find you to see how your doing. Thanks Ron 👍👍
