Poché Plantation is one of those rare places that feels peaceful the moment you pull in. There’s a quiet charm to the property — the kind that comes from history, care, and people who genuinely take pride in what they’re offering. The grounds are clean and spacious, the atmosphere is calm, and everything about the stay feels easy. What I appreciated most was the balance: it’s historic without feeling stuffy, relaxed without feeling neglected, and welcoming without being intrusive. The RV sites are well laid out, the property feels safe, and the location is perfect for exploring the River Parishes or making day trips to New Orleans or Baton Rouge. There’s a warmth here that you don’t find everywhere. Whether you’re staying for a night or settling in for a longer visit, Poché Plantation gives you that “you’re in good hands” feeling. It’s the kind of place you remember — and the kind you look forward to coming back to. Highly recommended.

Beautiful scenery. Located directly across the street from the Mississippi River. Watching the ships is amazing. The restaurant on property has good homemade scratch cooking. Laundry room, clubhouse, and swimming pool are very well kept. Always clean. Park is quiet with a chill vibe. Only negative is trees need trimming in order to enjoy any spot. Dead branches falling on RV is never good. No branches have fallen during our stay ...just a concern. Overall an exceptional stay

Nice little RV Park. There is not an office and it was a bit confusing checking in. Another guest told us to just park then tell someone in the restaurant on the property which site we were in. When the restaurant opened an hour later, I did just that. There is a community building with individual non gender showers, laundry room, and library with a beautiful porch and sweet swing. Park is beautifully landscaped and very clean.

Stayed this past weekend. I have very mixed feelings about the park. First, the service upon arrival was horrible. Went to check in and they had no clue I was coming or what spot to put me in or the rate to pay. I was told to find a spot without a cone and come back and let us know. Once I set my self up went back was asked to pay more than amount told when booking my stay. I felt bad for the girl in the restaurant as she had nothing to look at to see who was coming that weekend. When I showed her the text from booking she didn’t recognize the number. Second, the park is 80-90% full time live in campers. Not a big issue but make one section for transits. Having a truck on blocks with tires removed parked next to me was not great to see every time I came outside. Third, hot tub and clubhouse were dirty and unused. Also I wish they would have some places to learn the history of the plantation. We walked the grounds around the house and felt we were trespassing versus being guest. Forth, the restaurant was closed on Saturday night. The good. Non of the issues are major fixes just minor changes. The park has a lot of potential and I will give them another shot at a later date. I’m would hope some of the issues we had with check in and restaurant were just by chance and not the norm. The park is very quiet and the few people we met were very nice.
