This a quiet little campground on Point A lake in southern Alabama. The host Terri works very hard getting you the right spot and goes out of her way.

It's Remote, peaceful and what a beautiful place. Managers are SO friendly! They do have a lot of regulars, that come back every year! If you can get you a spot JUMP ON IT.

This is a great little campground. Very friendly. Small. Most of the campers are long term (4-6 month) snow birds. They all seem to know each other and welcome all to their conversations. We had a spot with sewer but many of the RV spots do not have sewer and were open. All the sewer spots were full. They actually have great wifi and cable which is nice compared to the state parks (Frank Jackson essentially has no wifi). We will go back.

We had a great visit. Terri and Kevin are amazing hosts. The campground is perfect for a vacation in the woods overlooking the water. There are a couple of trails to walk through the woods and there is a stream with a cute beaver dam along one of the trails. Everyone visiting the campground is super friendly too. Definitely recommend visiting and staying here!!

Sorry they have only 2 cement sites but will come back even if they have a building that could be a neat club house but won't allow it. I'm sure a lot of work and furnishings would be donated by camping guests. Me included.

Had a great time on the lake front. Facilities were clean and always had supplies. Nice beautiful park to take the family camping to.

Point A Park RV Park and Campground The hosts are VERY nice and the campground is smaller but nice on the lake. BUT, they have too many issues that we would never camp there again. First, the cable wasn’t working - not a big deal, as we don’t usually watch much TV camping, but when you offer it and is part of your pricing structure, then it should be provided. They actually had the cable people come out and fix it later that day, so that was a plus. The next issue, they don’t have sewer (except the few lake side spots) - 2/3+ have NO sewer. We met my parents there, so 4 days for 4 people with NO sewer was not easy. And they advertise it online AND on the sign IN the park, that they have full hookups including sewer. So, that was not only a big inconvenience, it was just a huge lie. Didn’t find out until we were there. And to charge the same price, whether you have sewer or not and lakeside or not - is just wrong. The bathrooms were not clean as well. When you have 3/4 of the park having to share one bathhouse (again because of no sewer) you NEED to keep them clean - ESPECIALLY during Covid-19. At 5am, one of the 2 stalls in the mens had no toilet paper and the other one someone left it a disgusting mess. The shower floor wasn’t cleaned for at least 2 days (I noticed the same paper wrapper by the drain Saturday & Sunday). I don’t know why people would leave it this way (apparently we have pigs staying there), but unfortunately you have to still keep it clean. BUT, the biggest problem, was the power supply was terrible - The breaker kept tripping. It was about 90° so we had our AC on and whenever we turned on anything (icemaker, toaster, etc) it would trip. We had to put our fridge and water heater on gas to keep the AC running. Then whenever we needed something, we’d turn off the AC and turn it back on after). I get you have problems that come up, but you need to do something about it. Never did they call an electrician or have someone that could swap out a breaker, OR even check on us. They offered another spot later that evening when it was raining, but unhooking and moving at 5, with parents visiting and resetting back up, was a HUGE inconvenience when they could have swapped breakers instead. With all that, we would never recommend OR come back to this campground.

Camp Hosts, the Johnson's are the nicest folks. Restrooms are clean and well kept. All areas of the campground are maintained regularly and in good shape. Quiet.
