This place would be magical in the summer, or visit was in mid Oct as part of a Maine trip focused on hiking and the fall colors. We stayed in a tiny home, which was great for the two of us. Split AC units had trouble heating the place (we reported), and although mentioned that the wifi was potentially unusable, it was basically nonexistent. With Maine's already spotty Verizon coverage this was a negative (made it very hard to continue to plan our days sightseeing).

This is a community of camper sites and trailer homes. We stayed with family so the only service we used were the food window, and general store. Everyone was very nice and the addition of the food (and portions) was a nice surprise. I do think the ice cream closes kind of early. And I don't like the arcade. Waste of money and it is SO hot in there. There is a safety concern with the golf carts that are everyone's mode of transportation. Some are very fast and reckless. Also, there are a lot of ducks so beware of getting the dreaded duck itch.

10 out of 10 would not recommend, save yourself the headache. I thought it would be amazing however it was a waste of over a thousand dollars for a long weekend. It was a dust bowl, broken water line making the back side of my campsite a bug haven. I spent 3 quarters of the weekend calling than being sent to find the ever elusive harbor master for Point Sebago than given the number to call with no call back. We could not have a campfire the whole time we were there because there was a no burn statement from the town. That being said if a hotel loses power it is not their fault either but they usually offer you something like a free drink or a curtesy something just to say sorry for your less than ideal stay. Then to top this all off the staff took our golf cart from our site. I spent my last day there at the welcome center thinking someone had stole my golf cart. The helpful staff said there is no way they would have done that and the manager at the time “was to busy to help me locate it using there GPS”. After going back and forth for 20 minutes another staff member came forward and said wait one of our ground crew just handed her the keys to that golf cart. The staff person at the front said “I can only say is that usually doesn’t happen” i repeated that it still was not yet check out time and yet this has happened. She again repeated the same thing “I can only say is that usually doesn’t happen”. Please save yourself allot of unnecessary anger and disappointment and stay away from this place. Go to one of the Sun out doors in Saco or OOB they are so much better than this place. I spoke to A manager Katie on Sunday 8-17-25 and she was great and knowledgeable she helped me get over the fact that nobody knew anything Friday, Saturday, and until 2pm Sunday when I spoke to her. But 8-18- 25 when a manager is to busy to deal with a customer whose golf cart was stolen (although it was by the campground staff) is pretty sad and also for them to assure me that it was my fault until they absolutely realized it was indeed there own wrong doing. Horrible customer service……

Point Sebago is a very nice campground with great amenities, but one glaring issue I hope they find a way to resolve. Why. are. there. so. many. golfcarts? They're noisy. People drive them recklessly. The rules about minors driving them are not enforced. And there's so many of them that any time you cross any road (regardless of it you are in a crosswalk or not) - you are at risk of being run over. It takes away from an otherwise beautiful property. The staff were all incredible. The food options were reasonably priced and good quality. The things for kids to do were abundant. But the golf carts are a safety, and a quality of life issue. Get rid of them for anyone but those with physical disabilities that require them and I bet everyone will have a much more enjoyable time there.

Five Stars – Our Favorite Getaway Year After Year! We've been coming to this campground for over 5 years now, and it just keeps getting better every time. The staff is absolutely incredible — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to making every stay special. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and well cared for. From the clean facilities to the peaceful surroundings, everything is thoughtfully maintained and clearly run with pride. It's become a tradition for our family, and we look forward to it every year. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-run place to unplug and recharge. Thank you to the entire team for making this place feel like a home away from home! Shout out to Lisa in the Welcome Center she always had a smile on her face and was always there to answer any question! Attached photos are of: beach set up, games played, candy sushi made along with a beautiful sunset on Sebago Lake.

Let me start off by saying I'm 44 years old. I would come here every summer for a week from the age of 10 til 18. We only stopped coming when I left for the military. My wife came here as a kid for many years as well. Summer of 2024.... my wife and I took our kids here. It was their first time. We went with my in-laws and other family. We rented 2 camps side by side. It was just as I remembered. Obviously, it was a lot nicer and a lot smaller than I remembered. We all had a great time. We spent a week, and it brought back a ton of memories. The staff at the check-in place was beyond nice and helpful. Finding the camp was very easy, and it was spotless upon arrival. We had a lake front camp, and it was private beach access. Beautiful view. We already booked a week for this July. I am very much looking forward to going back.

Katie and the guest team were fantastic, super friendly and accommodating will definitely recommend based a lot on our experience with the staff! Everyone riding around doing their work was so friendly and nice, place was relaxing off-season and clean and easy to get around. Great family spot will be back!

I have been going up with my family since 2006 and my grandparents since 1984. We have loved it every summer we have been there. The games are still great, the food at the restaurant is good and the cabins are a little cozy but we love it. We always get three cabins right next to each other on the lake and we have a blast the whole week. I want to shout out Kristin, one of the counselors, who made our experience with all the games so fun! She made our week!

So we stayed in the lodge, beautiful location but the interior needs updating and repairs. The hot tub wasn't working properly either. The grounds are clean but store closes very early. Not much activities and water obstacle course looked half inflated. We still made the best of our stay. I did call and complain and the customer service was good!(Katie) Hopefully upgrades will be made for future guests to enjoy!

Been going for 30+ years; kid to adult.. We had reservations and paid deposit for 2022 back in summer 2021. Surprisingly they canceled on us (5 months away) because they are upgrading our site to a rental for more $$. Only offered the rental at a discount of 2500(3 times what we paid) or a different full RV site at almost double. umm.. no.. Breach of contact, but not worth the hassle. Place and culture has changed a lot since Cove Community took over. Its more of an outdoor association than a family resort with fun activities and entertainment. Sadly, seems an end of an era..

Cons: all of our alcohol was stolen out of our cooler, caught a teenager dressed in all black looking in our camper windows when we called security we were told no one is there overnight patrolling the campground, we asked for the managers number the next day and was told they were not there because it was a holiday. Sites are very small. Pros: lots of activities for the kids, restaurant on beach for a quick bite, nice clean beach

Like most hospitality businesses in 2021 Sebago was severely understaffed which negatively impacted the experience. Didn't like the long lines at food outlets, running out of staple items like french fries at a snack bar, and the strange hours of operations. Did like the family atmosphere and at least the attempt at hospitality made by most employees. It was fine overall, but not the magical experience I've been made to believe by those who have visited for years.

I have been going to point Sebago with my children for the last five years. It’s always been a great family fun place to go. Many activities for the kids and they can go do their own thing and I feel safe that they are safe. This year however was different, some staff that has been there for past years and are excellent. Brad, Roland, Shannon, Emily, Wyatt , and ranger rick are amazing. There was one young man who was rude to some guests and rigged some competitions. He made the rest of our stay very uncomfortable, and is making me rethink my reservations for next year. Maybe 15 is to young to be in charge. The equipment for the games were mostly broken, or just wasn’t enough for the competition. In the last five years prices are rising, which is understandable, but quality and service is declining. In the past if we called for so extra towels they were quick to bring some. This year we called and they said “ wash them we aren’t a hotel “. Mind you it’s $2900 for one week rental. Again it’s a great place but is going down hill and hopefully management can stop the downward slide and bring it back to it’s glory days.
