My husband and I got married at the Poland Spring resort earlier this year. We are both from Maine but currently live 900+ miles away. It was important for us to get married back home in a place that captured the beauty of our home state and the amazing people that live here. The Poland Spring Resort was the PERFECT wedding venue. There were plenty of rooms to accommodate our guests (we had around 150, many from out of state) with different types of lodging. We had many families rent out the larger cabins and it was great we were all so close but had privacy to retreat to and unwind at the end of the day. We ended up staying for around a week and were BLOWN AWAY by the kindness and professionalism of the staff here. Working with Jenn (their full time event coordinator) and her team was a DREAM. I can't possibly give them enough credit. Planning an out of state wedding is stressful and Jenn and her team truly took such great care of me, my husband, our families and guests. They handled every question and request with care. They have the set up and break down process down to a science. The location and grounds are beautiful. We were able to plan a golf scramble earlier in the week for people coming in from out of town. Brenda was an amazing hostess tending bar at Rick's Pub and made everyone feel so welcomed. The food was outstanding. It truly felt like coming home. Simply stated, it was perfect. All of it. 10/10 would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the wonderful staff there that helped make our day so special. We look forward to coming back for years to come!!!

We stayed here out because it was one option given to us for the wedding we were attending. The price seemed reasonable (with tax and breakfast came to ~$375 for the weekend). The grounds of the property are beautiful for sure. We called ahead since we would be a late check in and were given the wrong street address that took us to the lodge, not the Maine inn despite confirming with the receptionist where we were staying. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was terrible. The door has obvious water damage which made sense because we had to put several towels down when the shower was on. The shower curtain was a flimsy piece of fabric that did nothing to keep water inside the tub. The cleaner was not thorough as there was a used bar of soap left in the shower on top of the dispensers that had not been cleaned or refilled. The bottom of the dispensers was covered in what looks like mold, there was no shampoo in the dispenser, the body wash hardly came out. We resorted to using our one bar soap to shower for the day. The toilet paper roll was installed maybe a foot off the ground and when we tried to reach for it, the toilet wobbled. We decided to take the roll off the dispenser and leave it on the counter instead. There is absolutely no sound proofing and we could hear everything from the hallway. The walls between rooms are so thin you can hear the person snoring in the next room. If you stay in the Maine inn, be aware that there will likely be some drunken karaoke happening in the lobby until about 11pm and, at least on the first floor, the sound will carry down the hall to your room.

We stayed one night in the Presidential Inn. We arrived late, and got into our room at 9:30pm. I was disappointed that one of the bedside lamps didn’t work at all (found to be unplugged but no outlet to be seen to plug it into). The outlet in the base of the lamp was sticking out and wouldn’t have been safe to plug into anyways, so I had to unplug the TV to use that outlet for my charging unit for my phone. The room was dingy and the carpet had large stains by the mini fridge. I went to draw a bath and the water never got warmer than lukewarm at best- so I decided to take a quick shower instead. It was the coldest shower I’ve had since showers at summer camp as a child! It was 10pm at this point and my husband was already tucked into bed, so I didn’t bother calling the front desk. Changing rooms or buildings was more than I could deal with. In the morning we went to the buffet breakfast and that was the only saving grace, but definitely didn’t make up for the sagging mattress we had slept on or the lack of noise-proofing in the room, that made the late night arrivals stomping and doors slamming a rude awakening for much of the night and early morning. I did report my upset about the shower at check out and the clerk was apologetic and said there was a water heater problem that night- but she only offered 2 bottles of water to make up for the inconvenience. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting again. If you’re looking for a nice, relaxing place to go- go somewhere with better upkeep. This inn was built in 1912 and looks it.

The ladies at the front desk were so pleasant and welcoming. Such a small-town vibe with the personal touches and face-to-face interactions. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept on when traveling and the shower was superb! Only complaint was you could hear the major road at times, but I still slept quite well.

Recently, 15 of us from our Corvette Club spent three enjoyable days at The Maine Inn at Poland Spring. The grounds and views are absolutely beautiful. The Inn itself is charming, with a classic exterior that gives it a timeless appeal. While the interior shows some signs of age, it is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the cozy lounge, the delicious daily breakfasts, and the warm, welcoming staff. The property also features a scenic golf course, an excellent on-site restaurant, and even a Poland Spring Bottling Museum, which added a nice touch to our stay.
