We've always liked this place. Big roomy sites, most with shade. 50/30/20 electric and water hookups. Park has several playgrounds and toilets. There is a marina and a few other boat ramps. They rent cabins and have disc golf. Shower house at north end.

Only been one other time there in 19yrs and man we have missed out. Great fishery that many don't think about. Never knew there were Bluecats in it until we caught a 25 and 40lb in 10min.

Stayed at Cedar Wind for a week. Was very quiet and peaceful. Park was well taken care of and very clean, it has been my go to early season camping area for several years. Stay away, don't want it getting crowded lol

I was there with a hiking group, Women Hiking Kansas and Beyond. So I decided to just camp there for the weekend. During the beginning of the hike, we asked, just jokingly, if they delivered wood to the camp site. Surprisingly, the manager, Ted, said yes. He ended up delivering to 3 of us who were camping there. One was at Melvern Lake. Not only that, but they had water bottles at check points for us as well. I have never been to a State Park who went above and beyond for our hikes. I just want to say thank you to all the Park Rangers who assisted us on our hike. The park and trails were very well maintained and saw lots of deer. I will be back.

I attended the vintage retro trailer rally this past weekend. The Pomona lake staff did a great job organizing and coordinating with the vintage trailer association. This is a large campground with several different loops with good signage. I enjoyed the primitive walking trails around the lake.
