This campground is absolutely amazing. The owner is super friendly. We had the best site in the campground. Watched the sunset and sunrise. Could see and hear the water from the Bay of Fundy. We absolutely without a second thought will go back the next time we are in New Brunswick.

We had a fantastic stay at Ponderosa Camp near Hopewell! The owner was amazing and even let us check in late when we arrived around midnight (normally check-in is before 9–10 PM). The campground was very clean, quiet, and felt like a true northern getaway—secluded, peaceful, and full of stars at night. Hopewell Rocks are only minutes away and a grocery store is close by. When our RV needed a quick fix, the owner even referred us to a welder who showed up right away and did a great job. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a quiet and original camping experience!”

We stayed here for 2 nights in the rustic cabin close to the pool. The campground is such a beautiful place to stay. There were walking trails with stunning views and even a trail you could hike to Hopewell rocks. It's a long hike but a beautiful one through the woods. We were not disappointed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The campground so quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We paid nearly $60 for a no-service tent site—by far the most expensive campsite on our multi-day trip, and unfortunately, the least enjoyable. We got a call at 8:30 p.m. informing us that check-in had closed at 8. Fortunately, we were only 15 minutes away and they kindly waited for us. That said, I wish the closing time had been communicated more clearly—maybe we missed something, but it wasn’t obvious when we booked. The tent site itself was angled, a bit narrow, and overall underwhelming for the price. It just didn’t feel like good value.

At $60 a night plus taxes for a tent site with no water or power, one would expect more. Probably the most we ever paid. We booked this as it is next door to Hopewell Rocks (it looks like you could access the Bay from the campground but you still need to walk 1.7 km to get to the Hopewell parking lot then walk another 15 minutes to stairs down to beach. Park access is $19 for adults). If you plan to use tent sites for a truck camper, be warned access to some is limited due to low trees. There is only one water tap for the entire tent area and outhouses. In the main area down the road there are regular toilets and showers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tent sites were nestled in woods near a marsh, down a narrow driveway. They had grass, a fire pit and old picnic table. Site was quiet because it was away from main area. If location is what you are looking for, this is the only choice. Otherwise, stay in Fundy Provincial Park or National Park for a better value.

We had a great stay at the Ponderosa Pines Campground. Due to a flight delay, we only arrived around midnight. We called with the campground (Kirk) several times to align on time and how we can self check in. Perfect service and support, beautiful location spotless clean wash rooms. Highly recommendable!

Very well maintained campsite. Not only were the sites clean, but the bathrooms and showers were spotless. The owners were very friendly and helpful. An excellent place for very large trailers and motor homes with large pull-through sites. For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are two easy trails that loop around the small lakes that surround the park.

Ponderosa Pines is a great family campground! The campsites and facilities are clean and there are accommodations for everyone, whether you want privacy or to be with a group. We have tented, stayed in the rustic cabins and the cottage 😊 Our family has turned Ponderosa into an annual stay - at the very least. The staff is Excellent and goes out if their way to make sure all campers have what they need. There is lots to do at Ponderosa - pool, lake for kayaks/canoes, walking trails and more. And, the location is great for adventures outside of the campground. Just 1km past the Hopewell Rocks and not a long drive to many other tourist spots. Thumbs up from my family ❤️
