We had a back-in fhu site. Site was long enough but hook-ups were all very close to the front of the site, so our tongue was practically on the road, and there was no place to park our van except right beside us, just outside our door. We liked the restaurant but probably wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to stay. Convenient restaurant and bar on premises with pool and game room. One of the best things provided by a local resident is Adam’s shuttle service and shuttle tour. His 12 passenger van takes you to the French Quarter several times a day and pick up throughout the late afternoon and evening. His tour of New Orleans was fantastic. He takes you through the old section, new sections, cemeteries, lake “P” and the French Quarter several times. The New Orleans part is huge. All for a fee but you can’t beat it. A must while visiting. In addition you can have Amazon and package delivered to the office too!

We have stayed at 487 different places. Look elsewhere! They said they give a Military discount but don’t give it. When asked about it, I was told I sent it to my boss but we heard nothing. Might have been a nice “Resort” at one time but…. If you walk watch out out for the gravel all over the road. Very overgrown and nothing trim back for years. On a positive note, restaurant is good!

The campground is conveniently located off I-10, but after getting off I-10, the area surrounding the campground is a little sketchy and trashy. Drove to Walmart one day, 3 police cars in the parking lot and looking around, we decided we would keep moving. Once inside the campground gates, it was very nice. The sites are a little close together with palm trees in-between the sites that needs trimming. As the wind blew, they would scrape against the side of the unit. Site was gravel based, pretty close to level. Cable didn't work the whole time we were there, contacted the office about it 4 times during our stay, they promised to send someone to check it out, never saw or heard from anyone. Luckily there were plenty of over the air channels. About 25 minutes to downtown, traffic wasn't too bad most days. No noise from traffic, but pretty close to a busy small airport which could be somewhat noisy. Ate at the restaurant on-site, food and service were very good.

The office staff was aloof and unhelpful. Cost was almost $90 a night with a Good Sam’s discount. Our goal was to visit the hub of New Orleans and although it seemed close when mapping it, the horrible conditions of the roads and the location of this park made getting there a pain. Like potholes so deep you may lose a tire, bad. After staying here, I wish we’d spent the extra to stay at the French Quarters RV. Although, the RV grounds were decently maintained. Long term tenants are allowed to leave their site in disarray and cluttered. Although they have A LOT of rules, it does not seem to be upheld effectively. Laundry experience was tiresome. Only one working dryer. Seemed to have 4 working dryers (no signage saying out of order on any, except one). One dryer had clothes in it all day. One the drum would not move or have heat. And the other had no heat. Got a refund for one dryer, but just didn’t care about talking to the staff again when I realized the other dryer was also broken 🤦♀️ I didn’t know that there was only one working dryer before starting four loads of laundry and had to spend the next three hours waiting for the only working dryer to finish drying my wet clothes. We heard gunshots that seemed too close for comfort one night. The gate did not close at night the 3 nights we were there (we were next to the entrance gate) but they give you a gate code indicating that at night the gates would close. It does not. Dog breed restrictions. Check their restriction list before booking. Goes beyond just pit bull/bully breeds.

This place is freaking awesome! I was worried on the drive into the resort from the interstate because it looked like a third world country then BAM! This place is clean clean clean! It's on the water. It's super nice. It's really friendly and organized. We decided to stay an extra night and they had no problem extending our stay. I love this resort!

Pontchartrain Landing is fantastic. The people are nice, the facilities are clean, and having a high quality bar, restaurant, and store onsite at an RV park is a real treat. Then add to that, a shuttle to the French Quarter, and a marina for our scenic pleasure, and who wouldn’t want to come back again and again. This has been my first RV trip, and Pontchartrain Landing was by far my favorite place to stay. Happy Trails! My previous post was 2 years ago. I came back last month to another enjoyable stay. What sets this resort apart from most is the wonderful bar and restaurant right on the property. Kellie’s kindness and wonderful conversation were greatly appreciated, and the chef’s homemade dishes were amazing. Definitely try the bread pudding, catfish, burgers — actually, everything is delicious. I hope they bring the shuttle to the French Quarter back when Covid is no longer an issue. We greatly enjoyed the convenience of being shuttled to and fro during our previous stay.

Chose a super site for the waterview which wasn't as picturesque as we'd envisioned. The proximity to the city was great yet far enough out of town to feel relaxing. The staff, facilities, restaurant and bar were super. Everything was clean, maintained and orderly. The park roads were not paved, rather rutted and muddy. Appears that they're working on that. Special shout out to Adam, a local who provides transport in, out and around the city to park guests. Reasonable prices., dependable and full of knowledge regarding the area, sites, restaurants and activities. Do not even think of bringing your car into French Quarter. Tow trucks lined up waiting to tow illegally parked vehicles, of which there were many. Simply not enough spaces for amount of visitors.

Pros: Customer Service was top notch. Any and all issues or questions we may have had were addressed immediately. Spaces were easy to navigate in and out of and was close proximity to Bourbon Street and other interesting areas. Site was right on the water and included a pretty good size propane BBQ, refrigerator and hot tub. Cons: Felt a little ripped off by the amount we paid for the "premium" site (over $1,300 for the week). We have a 41' toy hauler and the spot we were given were made for coaches. We had to run all of our sewer/water/electricity under our trailer. Luckily we have the required length to hook everything up. However, I would hope plans are in the future to resolve this issue to make it easier for trailers to use. As for the amenities listed above, hot tub was great but didn't get the chance to enjoy the BBQ or bar. I couldn't get the BBQ to light when I tried it but we never used it so I didn't report it to the front desk. The radio that was available at the bar didn't work. And the noise! There were big trucks that went up and down our road toward the dog park. Some stopped near our site at 6:00 or 7:00 am with the engines idling. And be aware that you are in an industrial area, near a working marina. Across the river, the paddle boat Natchez was being worked on and sound carries across the water. I can take working noises but they, at times, used the boats sound system to blast out music and not genres that we enjoy. One would expect at this price, the park would try to control what it could, especially the amount of traffic that goes up and down the site. Bad on us, we should have asked to be moved and also, we didn't inform the front desk so this will come as a surprise to them. Overall, we were happy with the location and service provided but I don't thing I would recommend this site. For the cost we paid for a premium site, it was way out of line for the issues we had to put up with.

Gated clean campground, and right on the marina! Everyone was nice & helpful. Felt extremely safe while staying there. They recommended a driver to hire to pick us up and take us to the French Quarters. He then came back later and dropped us off at our RV. Highly recommend him as well. We will be back next year!
