Port Burwell is probably my favourite provincial park in Ontario. I know it doesn’t have a ton of amenities but it is absolutely the best park if you want to be in a quiet calm place. The beach is beautiful and has the best sunsets. Personally I have gone during long weekends then stay a whole week after and it is just the most relaxing place to be! Highly recommend this park if you want to relax in peace and quiet.

Good and quite place for camping. Campsites are pretty big and beautiful..washrooms are clean and well maintained. Park design is little weird so you have to walk a lot.. suggestions is to carry your bicycles so it becomes little easier to explore. There are 2 small trails.. Beach is pretty clean..you can not take anything from park to your home.neither wooden stick nor a stone ..😄 which is a their rule. Few major attractions near this park are- two museums Light house Huge Submarine Trails Simply scoop ice cream Few places to shop.

I stayed here with my boyfriend over a long weekend for a quick getaway together. Check in was easy, a bit busy when we arrived but it still only took a few minutes. The site we was spacious and private, although not a lot of grass. The fire pit and grate was in great condition (kudos to who ever used it before us). We heard some noisy sites up pretty late both nights, but it didn’t bother us. The store had everything you would need to prevent having to leave the property, even some additional things like games and a lot of things for kids. The day use area was a decent size with a couple of trails leading to the beach. The beach was very big and clean, many staff were there picking up garbage and patrolling to ensure of this. Although, the water was pretty dirty. The comfort stations were very clean, I saw staff cleaning them a couple of times each day. The porta potty/out house styled bathrooms scattered throughout the park I can’t speak on because our site was right beside a comfort station so I never used one (in my experience they have not been very clean at other provincial parks). The ravine creek trail was nice for a quick hike, only took us about 20 mins. The hike to the beach is longer, but not as nice unfortunately. They had a big recreation field with a basket ball net, volleyball nets, disc golf baskets, and a playground. We forgot the fishing poles (which they did have available to rent) but we decided to opt out of fishing, so I cannot speak on that either.

This beach is perfection. It is Sandy and shallow, so perfect for kids! I have so enjoyed coming here. You get a nice view of the sunset, there’s nothing negative to say about the beach! BUT, one huge drawback, the bathrooms are absolutely horrific. You can smell them from a good 15 feet away, and it’s just beyond disgusting. Because of the smell, the bathroom itself is absolutely covered in bugs. It is the only drawback but it’s a really big one. Having to bring your own portable toilet is not something everyone can do, and it’s really rotten that you have to pay to enter and then deal with that kind of smell from the bathrooms. I was under the assumption that provincial parks would take care of restrooms with the high entry fee.

Love this place. Beach is lovely soft sand and clean. Staff are friendly and there is always someone cleaning the beach and facilities. We come for the dog beach and I feel very truly blessed to live close enough to come here regularly. Great value for a park pass!!!

Great family camping. Non electric sites offer more privacy. Bathrooms are clean, and well spaced out. Park for the kids, volleyball nets, and basket ball. Beach is gorgeous, sandy, shallow, vast. Friendly staff, who go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Loved it here. Our camp site was NOT anywhere near the " leisurely " walk to the beach. It was great. Very small town with a beautiful beach. Would I go again? YES

Get a bit muddy when it rains and they have a very strict 1 car on camp site policies. To the point that on last day we were packing up both cars. And the ranger asked us to only pack up one car at a time and remove the other car. Both cars were well off road. No reason to be that strict. Otherwise the camp ground was nice. Most sites have a lot of privacy from neighbors. Not all sites do.

Very nice campsites, lots of trees and fairly private. They have a rule for only allowing one vehicle on each campsite and this is very inconvenient. Bathrooms and showers are nice; cleaned daily. They cleaned our closest bathroom at 8am though which I didn't understand because that's when alot of campers are waking up and needing to use the bathroom. Would be better if they cleaned them at 6 am or even mid-day.
