Staff is helpful and friendly enough. The campground is expansive and offers nice amenities. We’ve been two years in a row and the first year I really liked it. This last time the cleanliness of common areas was lacking and at times outright disgusting. While the facility could use more dedicated staff for the community bathrooms and kitchens I look to the actual campers as the real problem. Simply disgusting and disrespectful- leaving unflushed toilets and not cleaning after yourself in the restrooms to pouring food in the community kitchen sinks that clearly have strainers over the drains to prevent food from going down thus clogging the sinks with food so they don’t drain. Chicken bones left on the counter. Seasoning all over the counter. It was shocking and disappointing- the level of disregard people had in using the community facilities. Not sure how you can control for the quality of people visiting but the common bathrooms and kitchens were gross. I saw a woman that worked there wipe down the toilet seats but after she left the bathroom still smelled and looked dirty because that’s all she did.

Went for the first time for Halloween weekends and I’ve got to say this was definitely a family trend that will continue until my kids are grown. Everyone goes above and beyond decorating their cabins, RVs and 5th wheels. Everyone has fancy golf carts (I really want to buy one exactly for this reason). The costumes were great, the atmosphere was amazing and you really don’t need to leave! With that being said I did have some minor complaints. One was the lack of recycling. Like even just the returnables. If the staff collected cans they could easily make a few hundred dollars a day. The amount of stuff that got tossed in the garbage rather than recycled made my stomach turn. Second is they need to run that train 24/7! I never saw it once and we were there for 3 nights. I love trains. Seeing those tracks made me giddy, so not seeing the train did make me a bit sad. I will be back. I might set up my own recycling station because I probably could’ve paid for the trip off recycling beer cans. Can’t wait to come back!

I have been coming to port huron koa since i was a kid. Always was some of the best camping. Now not so much. The people in the office i will say are friendly that is why i gave service a 3. A good portion of the site sizes are a joke now they are cramming in as many sites with very little room. Parking is atrocious and people now out are not very friendly people especially the owner that rides around with his dog. He is extremely rude. Not friendly at all. Needless to say I will not be coming back here again. I do not like spending my hard earned money to be talked down too and treated like crap at a place that is supposed to be enjoyed. It's a shame too I loved this place so much

We enjoyed our time at Port Huron KOA! The staff was friendly and the campground was clean and very well maintained. We loved the large, tree covered campsites at the east side of the park on lodge lane! Lots of room for the kids to play and plenty of shade. My only complaint was how early the golf carts needed to be returned each day, and how early the pools closed. It was also very busy on Saturday in the main part of the campground. Overall I would definitely recommend, we enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed at the tree house cabin. It was an amazing experience. So quiet and peaceful, plenty of privacy and amenities. Pools were clean and warm. The cabin is immaculate. Kids had tons of fun, we will be back in the fall for sure! Yeah its not super cheap when you add in the golf cart, firewood and food but this isn't the dusty state park I grew up going to.
