Port Of Brookings Harbor Beachfront RV Park
Overview
Port of Brookings Harbor Beachfront RV Park offers a rare opportunity to camp directly on the edge of the Pacific Ocean in southern Oregon. Located at the mouth of the Chetco River, this park serves as a gateway to the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast. It is a premier destination for travelers who want to wake up to the sound of crashing waves and the crisp salt air. The park provides a balance between the rugged coastline and the convenience of being situated within a working harbor environment.
Location & Surroundings
The park is uniquely positioned in Brookings, OR, between the harbor and the beach. Unlike secluded forest parks, this location puts you in the heart of maritime activity. Guests can enjoy a short walk to the Port of Brookings Harbor, where local seafood restaurants, art galleries, and small boutiques line the boardwalk. The surrounding area is characterized by dramatic sea stacks, sandy shores, and the unique microclimate of the Banana Belt, which often provides milder weather than the rest of the coastline.
Amenities & Park Features
Designed to accommodate a variety of travelers, the park features over 120 sites with options for full hookups including water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electricity. One of the standout features is the direct beach access, allowing guests to walk from their rig straight onto the sand. For practical needs, the facility includes clean restrooms, hot showers, and laundry services. The park is pet-friendly and offers basic Wi-Fi and cable TV to ensure you stay connected while enjoying your coastal retreat.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of activity nearby. The Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor is just a short drive away, offering some of the most photographed vistas in the Pacific Northwest. Anglers can take advantage of world-class salmon and steelhead fishing on the Chetco River or book an ocean charter departing right from the harbor. For a more relaxed afternoon, visit Harris Beach State Park to explore tide pools or watch for migrating whales during the winter and spring months.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for travelers who prioritize proximity to the water and local conveniences over isolated wilderness. It is perfect for families who enjoy beach combing and harbor activities, as well as avid anglers looking for easy access to boat launches and fishing docks. If your travel style involves having a front-row seat to spectacular sunsets and being within walking distance of a fresh seafood dinner, this coastal destination will fit your needs perfectly.

An extremely convenient no frills RV park right on the ocean. Fences between each spot and a picnic table at each spot but not a lot of room. Our space was relatively level. Convenient to town and tight next to the harbor. Recommended for a stay.

I love staying here! Yes it's a little noisy from street traffic but having the beach just steps away is good for the soul. I wish the public traffic to the beach front was regulated a bit more ans there has questionable people and when I stayed 3 years ago a mom was killed by an intoxicated driver from public traffic. Overall the sites are kept mostly clean. The sites are close in proximity but I still find it worth it and a pleasure to stay. The other campers are friendly and everyone is always here for the party, the beach or the quiet time.

Had some concerns about the public beach access, but we were here during the week so it was very chill. Especially after the tsunami advisory when most of the other campers freaked out and left, so nice and quiet to hear the waves. The port authority rep was spot on with his thoughts on the low tide vs expected incoming swell. Nice beach to fish from, caught a nice walleye perch. Will definitely come here again.

$60 for a 15ft wide space of dead grass and dirt. Zero appeal in the rv park. The view is good but not from our site. Restroom and shower facilities were very substandard. So much so, that we opted for no shower. We will not return nor recommend this rv park.

Beachfront RV Park exceeded my expectations. I was here for a week. The Public parking area that’s open from 7am to 10pm had reviews of people here early at 6am making noise, and too many people here at sunset. It was peaceful in the morning I noticed and not very many people were even outside at 8am, probably because they were still doing breakfast & coffee! Evenings were great and quiet. The public visiting @ 9:30-10pm were very respectful of all of us campers. Other reviews of the restrooms being a mess from too much public use? After 7 days of being here, I was impressed that the RV Park staff always kept it clean. Thank you! No, the spaces are not too close together. I’m on my awning side relaxing next to the picnic table and small fence, and my neighbor is on the other side of their RV. Great privacy. The power, water, and sewer service was great. There are several paths to walk. The main path up by the public parking is good for walking or just sitting on the cement barrier to look at the ocean. The path up the jetty gave me a great view of the RV Park. Walking the beach 3 times a day was relaxing and fun. The kids out there enjoy putting together forts with the washed up wood logs & sand castles. There are a couple of restaurants down here within walking distance, and a grocery store back up on the 101 was only a 2 min drive away to restock the refrigerator. I will definitely stay here again when I’m on the Oregon coast near Brookings.
