The park is a favorite for those seeking a picturesque coastal escape while remaining conveniently located between the vibrant city of Vancouver and the mountain adventure hub of Squamish. It provides a tranquil atmosphere where the mountains meet the sea.
Location & Surroundings
Located approximately 20 kilometers south of Squamish, the park is nestled on a narrow strip of land between the Coast Mountains and the turquoise waters of the Sound. The geography provides a dramatic backdrop of snow-capped peaks and deep blue water. - 30-amp electrical hookups available at most drive-in sites.
- A central sani-station and water filling area for convenience.
- Modern washroom buildings featuring flush toilets and hot shower facilities.
While there are no water or sewer connections at individual sites, the proximity to the water and the availability of power make it a comfortable choice for coastal camping.

Very nice campground, even on a rainy weekend ! Limited number of campsites, so its not easy to get one. Our have 30 amp electricity, which is very convenient. There is the railway and the sea to sky highway nearby, but it was not disturbing for time we spent there (first weekend of November). We were lucky to view a seal and a bald eagle. It's a very nice view if you can get a campsite waterfront.

Pros: Beatiful place, beyond words can explain. Staying at the walk in campground here was very therapeutic. The campground has good facilities in general i.e. charging (only 2/4 plugs though), pit toilets (very clean), kitchen shelter (amazing), warm shower and flush toilet (not shiny clean but still ok, serves the purpose). Cons: Raccoons are very aggressive here. At night sniffing around campsites for any food. Kept coming back to the site despite no food. I couldn't sleep on the first night because I was scared of them. My husband stayed up shouting and making noise so they went away (they eventually did but 1-2hrs later). I had the same scary encounter with raccoons at the walk-in site last year (neighbor left food out). Sadly this takes from the ambiance and pleasant stay.

Great campground on the ocean with friendly staff. Only issue is that the day use is so popular by people that don’t frequent campgrounds, so they walk through your site when the tide comes up. The staff truly try to limit the people through the campground for the safety of kids playing.

The campsite is well. Kept clean and orderly. The staff is friendly and do a great job at keeping all amenities running smoothly. There is a $5 fee for the pump out. There is a train or two that pass by daily, but generally they're very short and not that noisy, however, I would say the motorcycles, and I am a cyclist myself, that scream by going up or down the hill, is very annoying. They should put a radar trap at the top of the hill. They'd make a load of money, and more than likely save a bunch of lives.

Always a charm to score and stay in this gorgeous campground, close to home and heart! Beautiful weather and cool vibes accompanied us during our stay, past weekend, we stayed in site 43, awesome views, right on the water. No seals in sight this time, peaceful night! What a view to wake up to, can’t wait for next time!
