Portside Brookings RV Park

Overview

Portside Brookings RV Park provides an inviting coastal experience positioned in the vibrant heart of the Brookings Harbor district. This park is specifically designed for travelers who want to stay just steps away from the bustling marina and the rhythmic sounds of the Pacific. It serves as a clean, functional, and exceptionally well-located basecamp for those eager to explore the rugged beauty of the Southern Oregon coastline without sacrificing proximity to modern conveniences.

Location & Surroundings

Ideally situated on Lower Harbor Road, the park is nestled directly adjacent to the Port of Brookings Harbor. The surrounding atmosphere is deeply connected to the sea, where visitors can watch commercial fishing boats return with their daily catch. This location offers the distinct advantage of being within a short walk of the Chetco River estuary, where the fresh river water meets the salty ocean spray, providing a refreshing coastal breeze throughout the day.

Amenities & Park Features

The park features a range of essential services designed to make any stay comfortable. Travelers will find paved full-hookup sites that cater to a variety of rig sizes, including spacious options for those driving larger motorhomes. Each site includes 30 and 50-amp power, along with reliable Wi-Fi and cable TV for evening entertainment. The facility also prides itself on its exceptionally clean laundry and restroom buildings, ensuring a high standard of comfort for long-term guests and weekenders alike.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is never far away when staying in Brookings. A quick drive north brings you to the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, where you can marvel at Arch Rock and Natural Bridges. For those who prefer the sand, Harris Beach State Park offers stunning tide pools and sunset views. Anglers will appreciate the easy access to ocean charter boats departing from the harbor, while hikers can explore the nearby Redwood forests just across the California border.

We just spent a few days here and out was great. Spotlessly clean, very well maintained and great location. Friendly staff too. Walking distance to some great restaurants and pubs, even a few gift shops across the street at the harbor. Ee used it as a base to explore the giant redwoods. We'll definitely be back!

We love staying are Portside, they are the most pleasant people and the facilities are the cleanest and best kept we know of. We travel quite a bit and have always been happy at Portside, they are like family to us.

My wife and I spent two nights here during an extended trip in our Class C RV around the country. We found the park to be very clean, level paved sites, top notch hookups for electricity, water and septic, and clean amenities. It was lofted right on the Huber and within walking distance of the ,in downtown. Additionally, there was a wonderful seafood restaurant/bar (Catalyst Seafood) located right across the street that we ate and drink at both nights. The food was outstanding and the staff working at the bar were very friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it to others.

Nice quiet RV park across the street from the harbor in Brookings. Everything is clean and well-kept, the drive down 101 is relaxing just like the overnight we spent here!

Great location close to shops, food the Ocean. Very clean restrooms and showers and site pads paved with all hook-ups and picnic tables. We we're very glad to get a nice site with showers because we had just came from a site that 3 years previous was very nice and now was just a asphalt lot with weeds and NO facilities for the same price. We will definitely return to Portside RV Park.
