Late October 2025: Huge state park, very well maintained. Something for everyone. Lovely trail by the river, powered and basic camp sites, also cabins. There is a boat launch and lots of different open areas to enjoy. Will def. Consider coming back. Still sunny and wonderful weather.

I stayed at the group campsite, there were picnic tables and it wasn’t located far from the boat launch and beach. Didn’t catch any fish unfortunately. Be prepared, there are a million wasps that will harass your picnic during all hours of the day, and (at least for my picnic) they will eat raw meat chips corn on the cob and drink Diet Coke and beer so good luck 👍🏻

Beautiful park with large, open sites in a pinwheel formation. I just wish the signs that show when the watering occurs were bigger. We had a great time, and fortunately it was sunny enough for our chairs to dry.

Had a blast at the group site. Right by the irrigation inlet to the lake. Tons of mosquitoes. Lots of wildlife. Watch out for the wind! Bring lots of sun block and mosquito repellent that actually works. Beautiful sunsets!!

Stayed over Memorial Day Weekend in a tent space. Loved listening to the bullfrogs at night. Water and vault toilet was close by, area kept clean by volunteers throughout the day. Nice park for kids, did not see a swimming area, that would be the one thing it could use. I just might not have seen it. There is a large area along side the boa launch, but people were fishing there, so not sure kids should be swimming there in case of lines and hooks.
